AMK (Alexander M. Kim) burst upon the scene, made a then previously unheard of 25 to 30 posts every day, was the first to reach 5,000 posts, and then vanished, as if he had never been.

Possible explanations: He was flunking some courses from being here too much. (He did describe himself as a college student in Orange County, CA.) He got a girlfriend. He got a life outside of the internet. He changed his screen name and is still with us.
