I want to tell my story and ask a question

This is my first ever post. I'll bore you with my story. I am a tickler not a ticklee (however the rules can bend, I have been in unfortunate positions with a talented tickler and have reaped it). I am a Canadian male, 25, otherwise normal professional from Toronto. I am healthy, got lots of friends and blah blah blah. I have a tickling fetish. Duh. I used to think I was weird for this, ever since I was a kid I would set myself up to be tickled by a babysitter or try and tickle a willing or non-willing victim. Now I feel comfort that other people who are seemingly normal share this abnormal fetish. I mean, not everyone is aroused by or interested in tickling. I would suspect that having a straight foot fetish would be more common place. We're different in that we enjoy it so much. The only way I embrace it is by observing this website, imagining scenarios or tickling my girlfriend. No one knows about my fetish, not even my best friend, or my girlfriend (although I suspect she has an small suspiscion!). So here I am sharing it with all of you for the first time...my first little step. Everywhere I go in the world I wonder who might like tickling or being tickled. It could be the guy sitting next to me on the plane or the hot girl at the bar (although it's unlikely as more guys seem to interested in it).
Anyways, here's my question: How do you think that people with a tickling fetish end up having it in the first place?

In anwser to your question, I really am not
sure in my case, the fetish has simply always
been there. Now as an older person, I can tell
you that it as strong as ever. I am no longer
confused by it, and accept it as a normal part
of being me. Having an active tickle life keeps
you young and healthy too!!!

Welcome to posting, curious1! You've been here long enough without posting to likely see how among friends you already are. As to your question, I couldn't say. I saw nothing in my own life that would have inclined me towards this particular interest. Perhaps it is genetics. Perhaps, some higher force is involved. I couldn't say. It is just as likely that some tickle fairy flits around and bashes the occasional person on the head with a mighty wand and awakens the tickler/ticklee within then that way. I don't know if I'll ever be able to be sure.

My theory is that a fetish can come about a couple of ways...

I suppose it's possible for it just to happen for no reason. Research actually shows that the nerves sending messeges to the brain from receptors on our feet are connected VERY closely to the ones that send the brain messeges when we feel sexual pleasure. The theory is, these nerves could "short circuit" in a way, and cause us to feel sexual pleasure by touching feet or having our feet touched. Thats the scientific version anyway.

The other thing I think is that having a lot of contact with feet as a small child and liking it could possibly develop into a fetish later. This is the method I think came about for me, when it comes to my foot fetish.

Your question can be answered with other questions of like "why do people find breasts or ass attractive" or other type fetish concepts. Its just a part of your brain that registers it as sexually appealing. To get more societal, i guess you can say when society was the type that banned any female skin showing other than facial, the joke of the amish sin of "ooo she showed ankle, burn her" type stuff. When people been deprived, they find other means to get off
