i was overcome, again.

so, i just finished watching (again) probably the most epic movie ever. i watched it once about 5 months ago, i was going to write a paper on it. i was too emotionally and spiritually moved to make any progress that night though. the second time around the movie is still ever powerful. the movie is Amazing Grace. has anyone else ever seen it? thoughts?

Yes! I have. Our whole church watched it one evening for oasis (Sunday evening church thingie, basically). I really enjoyed it and thought that, Wilberforce- right?- was portrayed really well. I never really knew anything about him before, except pastors mentioned him sometimes was all... But that movie was supers. :super_hap :ggrin:

the movie was absolutly epic! between which got me more pumped up, 300 or Amazing Grace, its definantly amazing grace!

Wow. I'd definitely have to be in a certain mindset to fully appreciate Amazing Grace, whereas 300, as long as you have a fastforward button, 😉 it can be pretty okay. For me I think it'd have to be The Dark Knight and that though. One mindset for each, I think.
And I don't tend to get very outwardly emotional, even if something's really strong. I just don't like crying or getting that into a movie- I know, I'm an apathetic stone at times. 🙁

Man, I wanted to see that movie when it came out. I love period pieces anyway, and Amazing grace? Oh you know I was going to see it, and I'm not even christian, but seeing the advertisment, it just made me, Cuckoo for cocoa puffs! Cuckoo for cocoa puffs! Cuckoo for cocoa puffs!

But yeah, I am going to see it. Anyone know if it is online for free somewhere?

I would suggest trying www.watch-movies.net, and see if it's available on there. Honestly, I didn't even know this movie existed, let alone recent-ish, until we watched it one night.
