I think I've found a way!
Step 1: Find the suspect
Step 2: Go to suspect's profile
Step 3: Observe whether or not the profile colour scheme is a clashing, hideous smattering of pinks and purples and baby blues. If so, you might be dealing with the dreaded "fake female."
The logic: Every fake female knows that people are going to be suspicious. Thus, in an attempt to feminize the online persona, and to demonstrate a token amount of effort in order to appear like a legit TMF member, the fake female customizes the profile. However, as non-females often has less than discerning taste for colour, or at least, less experience with "girl" colours, the end result is a horrid saccharine eyesore.
Your objection: LD, you sexist, not all women are good with colour. It could just be a female with bad taste.
My rebuttal: Shut up, every woman secretly wants to be an interior designer.

My counter-counter rebuttal: Fine. Let's say you're right. An actual female who sucks at colours wouldn't bother jazzing up the profile, she'd have no reason to. She wouldn't feel the need to girly-up her profile if she wasn't inclined to that sort of thing.
