This is totally NON tickle related. No responses in that regard.

IF you could seriously turn back time. Where/When would you go back to and why?

For ME, I would go back to 1988. Before my GF/Fiance' Shygirl aka Patti ever met her soon to be Ex Husband. I would go to where she was and meet her THEN so we could have been together for all this time and this whole divorce battle and hardships on her, her family and her children would NOT BE. We would have OUR children or child and the pain and suffering all are being put through during all this BULLSHIT would not be happening or would never have happened.
Even if it meant having to live through watching the pain suffering and death of MY family again, it would be worth it to have had her and to have avoided what she/we/they are going through now and have been over the last 2 and 3 quarter years!

TTD

How about YOU?

I understand how you feel, TTD, how you can get emotionally drawn into the chaos, all the frustration, and dealing with the scary feeling that it's never going to end.

I think similarly. I would've liked to have met my wife about eight years earlier, so that I myself would've banished a whole lot of anger and frustration and loneliness, and that she would've avoided one psychologically abusive relationship that she still, on some levels, can't let go of, and another one with a hopeless drunk.

However, on a more personal level, there's a good five and a half year swatch of my childhood that, while I would certainly not want to live over again, nevertheless would like to jump into a time machine and revisit for a good two week vacation. That would be very nice.

if i could turn back time?

i'd turn it back to my school Days from Middle School on. so i could re-live my Middle School and High School days so i could make thoses times and moments better then they were and to be honest have way way more fun then i did have during thoses School years.

I think I agree on the middle school, high school idea. I'd like to go back and change the way I did things. Next time around, I would play by the rules and makes things easier on myself. But it would have to be a "knowing then, what you know now type of situation."

Then again, even we were able to go back, it doesn't mean that everything would go perfectly, or that we could fix everything that went wrong. We all know that life is never going to be perfect. No matter what you're doing, there's always a whole new set of problems.

So we all should really just concern ourselves with fixing the here and now, and try not to have a "grass is always greener" type of outlook.

I'd got back to 1986 and commit suicide at the age of 4, before discovering that life is absolutely worthless and useless, and die with a feeling of pure happyness.

This question depends on how far back you could turn it back... If I could turn it back indefinitely, I'd go back to when civilization began in the Americas to observe all of the interesting cultures that existed before the Exploration Age.

If you're referring to just within the timeframe of my life, then I'd say I'd go back to high school and take the social route instead of the academic one. I think I missed out on a lot of fun stuff by avoiding the various clubs my school had.

I don't think I'd really want to turn back time. There are things I wish had been different in my life. But, I've learned so much from those things that I don't think I'd want to undo them. I prefer to live today for itself, with all the lessons I've learned and go from there. The only time I want to be in is the here and now.

I am happy of how far I have come in my life so in the overall scheme of things, I think I did all right. Of course, when you look back on some things there are things you wish you did differently. Once in a while I get that thought in my head. The only thing I wish I might have done was sick it out a couple of more years in Public Accounting and learned a little bit more about the overall aspect of different types of businesses and consequently maybe enjoying a higher position than what I have now.

TTD

How do you know she'd even like you back then? Odds are you're different people than you were then and part of why you hit it off well now is due to her experiences at that time.

AS for me, I'd change nothing. I did it perfect then, why believe I'd get any better the second time around.

Tron is a hard act to follow, but here i go:

to my 2nd year of being in the work force - 1988, through to 1990.

during this time i was in my best physical shape; i earned some good money; didn't have a whole heck of a lot of issues that hampered my enjoyment of everyday life; and was quite the social butterfly. i had lots of girlfriends and playmates.

and back then, with everything being that way, i had the feeling of invincability and immortality.

......where have all the flowers gone? long time passing.

I agree with Ann. I wouldn't want to turn back time.

Everything you've ever done in your life has brought you to where you are today. What I've learned, people I've met, things I've done have all enhanced my life or taught me lessons that I bring into today.

At times it was very hard or painful. Other times it was joyful and more fun that a person should be allowed to have. But it all makes you into who you are and brings you here... Now.

And I love it here... Now!

...back to the summer of '76, with my digi-cam and the knowledge I have now and didn't back then...!!

back to College, without a doubt... great fun! 😀

I'd go back to the final weeks of my senior year (1985) at Lutheran West, and corrected one little mistake...I was chasing after Angela, when i should have been dating Martha.

The Sean Man

If I could go back in time, i would have 2 dates in particular:

October 1989- when my football coach left me in too long in a game that we blew out the opposition by a 68-3 score and my knee got busted, ruining the opportunity to play pro football, and the coach to this day can never look me in the eyes:sowrong:

October 2003 NLCS- an idiot fan took it upon himself to catch a foul ball Alou could have easily caught, wrecking the chances of the Cubs finally BBQ-ing the goat for good:sowrong:

Well, the Cubs this year have a chance to rectify that, while I will never have the chance to rectify 1989🙁

I wouldnt want to go abck and change anything...i have done a lot of stupids things and a lot of things i wish i hadnt, but in the end when i think about it learned something from everything so if i changed it then i wouldnt be the person i am today

Glad to see I'm not the only one thinking of baseball. I'd go back to October 1951 and show then Dodger manager Charlie Dressen the headlines of what happened when he brought in Ralph Branca to pitch in the decisive 3rd game of the play-off, and he'd use Clem Labine instead. 😀

I wouldn't change a thing, but I'd definitely go back and relive certain moments:

*When my sweetie proposed

* When 'Man and Wife' was said at my wedding

* Each time I saw the little lines appear on my pregancy tests

* Both first kicks

* Each time my water broke (sounds weird but it was incredible and wondrous, nothing like it)

* Each times my babies were placed in my arms for the first time ever

Again, I wouldn't change a blessed thing, but I'd love to live through those moments again 😎

LOL...Leave it to YOU Neutron to bring up that question🙄 😉 .
Long story but given pictures she has seen of me from back then and the fact that I pretty much have not changed much, we are reasonably sure it would have worked out other than the fact that at that time, I would not have wanted to start a family for at least 5 years into the relationship along with two years living together prior to marriage and starting that family. NOW, she already has children and there is no way, at this point in my life, I want children of my OWN meaning I would not want her to have a child with/from me.
We discusssed this and imagined the mixture of genetics of hers and mine, the tickling terrorizers we would have created! Having just HERS in them, they show signs of being one of us and her EX having NO interest in tickling whatsoever! YIKES!😀 :devil2: :tickle:

I would also like to visit, one night back in 1986. Game 6 of the '86 World Series!

Anyway, there would be other changes I would make in my life but having Patti(Shygirl) from the start back then would be foremost on my mind.
