INterestingly enough, an old girlfriend of mine married a guy with the last name of Tickle. Her dad even went so far as to say that he would understand if she wanted to keep her maiden name...lol

I read in a book about name origins that the surname Tickle was originally from a place called Tick Hill, which I guess is where people named Tickle were from. Kinda takes some of the fun out of it, doesn't it?

I once saw a web site by a girl who last name was Tickle (don't wanna give the first name --- she's entitled to her privacy). There was a picture of her on it and she was pretty damn cute.

On a related topic, has anyone ever seen vanity license plate with a variation of TICKLE on it? And if so, what do you suppose prompted the owner to request such a plate?

Good idea. They might also create a variation on a famous law firm name, like "Dewy, Tickle, and Howe". What else? "Tickle, Laffer, and Peabody", no, maybe "Tickle, Pickle, and Stiffer", NO, "Fether, Tickle, and Laffer" no.
