You all are looking at (the typing of) a newly outed ticklee!! Last night in the car with my boyfriend I just said "ya know i have a little tickling fetish" he just paused for a second and said "a what?!" lol It was a pretty short and simple conversation. He just said "yeah i know" and then we argued about the true meaning of a fetish. He says it's something you have to have in order to reach orgasm i say it doesn't have it to be. It can just be something that turns you on. it was just a teasing kind of fight though. But anyway...TA DA! I did it and to all of you lees and lers in the closet...IT'S NOT THAT BAD! i felt a little uncomfortable in the car the rest of the way to the diner but that was just my own insecurities...nothing's changed 🙂

to really be out of the closet, you'd have to tell your family, or equally important group. that said i'm glad he reacted in a positive mannor ,it would have been heart breaking otherwise.

Wow, Congradulations. Great stuff.
It being easy though, I dunno. The first person I ever came out of the tickle closet for was my wife after five years back n the late 70's. She it the roof, and I saw a lot of irrational anger. Tickling was suppose to stop. "Go Tickle Yourself," she once yelled. Sheesh. We eventually divorced after another five years. Bitch. Up to that point, she had been my closest friend, but after that, trust and things started to slowly deteriorate.
This is why things have been harder for me since whenever I attempt to tell someone of my joy of tickling. So I'm happy to hear of others having a much better and supportive time of it.

That is one of the silliest things I've ever seen posted. First off, I think it took HUGE guts to tell her boyfriend about her love of tickling. That is a big step that most of us find hard (if not impossible) to take. Great for you that you told every girlfriend you've ever had, but such is not the case for most, and that particular accomplishment shouldn't be so easily dismissed.

As for telling your family in order for it "to count"....😕 Why the hell would I tell my mom (or anyone else in my family) what my sexual turn ons are?! I wouldn't want my mom to know what gets me going anymore than I would want to know what floats her boat (yuck!) What good could possibly come out of that conversation? My mom trying to show her support by baking me cookies in the shape of feathers and then giving me the standard parent "good for you dear...you do what makes you happy" speech? Thanks, but no thanks. If avoiding that "little talk" means that I'll be in the closet forever, then lock the freakin' door and throw away the key!

Yeah I agree...why would you tell your family? That makes no sense. "Hey ma, tickling turns me on and I also like doggie style" I'm pretty sure she has no desire for that info. Tickling isn't exactly a lifestyle...it's a turn on.

If you can tell the people that you date and are into romantically about it, then that's the most important thing. Those are the people you need to be into it with you.

Although Steve is right about the "fetish" definition 🙂 We have more of a turn on or kink...not really a fetish (unless absolutely nothing else ever turns you on or gets you off). The word actually has roots in religion, with little statues of worship being termed "fetishes".

i was not meaning to belittle skip.'s effort. what i was trying to do was point out that this is exactly the person you have to tell! that's not being "out of the tickling closet", that's being smart!
if you like the way your lover kisses you, you tell them. if you like the way your lover holds your chair, you tell them so. it reinforces their behavior.
