It depends on which FF pictures you mean. Others have drawn from that series. If they aren't mine, I'd be interested to know whose they are.
In this one theres not the same level of detail in the eyes as is usual in my pictures, and theres a reason for it. Vampires sometimes have a void in them, when you look in their eyes. Its like they don't have a soul, theres nothing there, its vacant and cold. In Lucetanya's case, one eye is normal and the other is not. The reason her right eye is like that will be explained in the manga. It is of significance.
Also, since this is a conceptual picture, complete, absolute detail wasn't necessary I think. Its really hard to commit something to paper when you have nothing to go on and it's all in your head, an image of what you want. Nonetheless, I'm pleased with the detail I did mangage to get out of this picture and particularly the Countess herself.
As for others lacking detail and fine control in what they draw, well, thats a choice. Unfortunately for me, it probably makes me look (in contrast to them) like I'm trying too hard or am rubbing it (my skills) in or something when really this is just me, this is how I express myself. My talents and skills sometimes isolate me from others. Its part of the price you pay as your grow in skill. I'm just as meticulous in my art as I am in my posting, and I am genuinely churning out the best I can with what I have to work with. Its all natural and its not forced out. Perhaps my pictures are more detailed because perhaps I'm taking this more seriously than they are and it shows in the quality of my art and in the way I voice it afterwards. I was always one to go the extra mile with my talents and skills, whether they be learned or natural. In this case, its completely my imagination as far as the imagery is concerned. I'll be fortunate if existing series add some inspiration.
Barok feel? Whats Barok? I'm not fimilar with it, is it a series?
Actually, the Countless's character, those she associates with, and what part she plays in the story is already set in stone I think. I also don't want this picture to be misleading. This picture started off with her standing and holding the maiden's head by the hair in more of a triumphant having killed for blood look than whats going on here (on multiple levels of course, you know me). Theres a reason of course why you can't see the maiden's face. Its a common trait used to express conflict in silence, or a strong emotion without a word being said, or there being shame in what a person is saying or doing. In this case, its the acceptance of the new fate she has been given, and the licking of the feet is more symbolic than fetish. Though it is kinky, sensual, and adds to the picture. And I like drawing feet, so.. ^^
For the record, I don't want it to appear that the Countess is some sort of domimatrix. This is just more or less a parody of my own character. Though there will be stuff like this here and there in the manga. The manga is, in no way shape or form, a fetish manga or one that revolves around it like the comics of some of our other artists. I want to clear that up now so people won't be disappointed later.
Its my ultimate hope that by even sharing my manga with you guys, you'll be just as able and willing to appriciate my work for it's artistic aspirations, value, style, story and plot, and characters, just as much or more so than any tickling/etc. scenes it may have.
Sorry for the long post, but you asked/commented alot in just those few sentences and as always I felt the need to address each accordingly. I don't like leaving people hanging ambiguously. ^^
