Well... It's summer, and the draft is over. As a hardcore hockey fan, what do you do to survive all the way until October?!? (Or well, September for me... Bless the SEL! 😀)
But eh, I figured organizing a hockey pool might be a good idea. Some of you may already have participated (or intended to participate) in the 09/10 WJC "Dream Team" challenge, which I basically started just to try hosting a hockey pool. 'twas a first for me as an organizer, and it went far from perfect, but I think I learned a lot from it.
Moving on I was thinking we could do something a bit more long-term, with an annual draft where we also get to pick up new prospects. After every season we will crown a winner, and since the pool will be "sponsored" by Quirk-Ville there will be a page on our website listing every year's winner!
Anyways, is there any interest for this? If we could get at least 10 participants then that would be pretty neat, but if the intrest is there I could still try to make it work with fewer people. 🙂 I was thinking if you guys are up for it, we could try to get things moving and hold a fantasy draft sometime in early August. So... any takers?
