You could just tell a joke if all you want is smiles & laughter
I thank Diego for saying, "I like the torture aspect of tickling. Both as a ler and as a lee. Its just a light and safe form of BDSM. If rules (safeword) are respected, its fantastic! The control - being controlled at the mercy of . . . "
Those words helped me finally articulate the thought I had since viewing this question two and a half days ago.
Like other forms of touch, tickling is a way two communicate. The tickler provokes and the ticklee responds. When I tickle a woman I'm telling her I like her and want as much attention as she will give me. Her response conveys how she feels about me and sets the limit of how much of the attention I seek she will provide.
But the action starts before I lay even one ticking finger on her, as people communicate mostly with other nonverbal actions. Ideally, the woman I choose to tickle has chosen to give me the opening to get close. Maybe she does not know I'm a tickler, but she allows me within arm's reach - although she does not have to do so. If I've read her right, the good times start. But if I've read her wrong, she is quickly out of arm's reach again!
Those who don't understand the dominant-submissive relationship two people can have would have viewed some intense tickling I've administered as taking advantage of my ticklees. But it was just how we communicated with each other, and I knew the limits I had to respect with each woman.
I mean, if all I want is smiles and laughter I would tell jokes. Tickling is how I communicate to a woman that I want to get down with her!
