Here's a video of a guy monkeying around with a gorilla. What are your thoughts on this?

Um.......... WTF? This thread is way to crazy, even for me.

Obviously that's in a different context that the type of tickling seen here, but it still kind of weirds me out.

I think when you're making a tickling video for a fetish site, or are engaging in tickling that's more than playful and you put an animal into the mix, it's borderline bestiality.

No cats, no goats, no gorillas. Thankyouverymuch.

Didja follow the link to the video? Anyway, no worries. I just titled the thread that for effect. I'd like to think that pretty much everyone's views on tickling animals(in a fetishy way) are the same as everyone who commented above. That's why I didn't make it a poll, either. I was fairly sure where most would weigh-in on the matter.
I think the video was super-cute, because gorillas are such huge, powerful creatures, and yet here this(probably lonely, bored in captivity) giant was obviously offering it's foot up in a playful way, enjoying the attention. 🙂

Of course, a whole `nother topic could be about using animals to tickle humans. There ARE ticklephiles who seem to dig(at least in theory) goats, dogs, cats, and other animals licking captives' feet. I guess that's alittle different though. I mean, in those cases, the animals are merely licking whatever's been smeared on the soles. They're not in it for the jollies. The few videos I've seen of this(yep, they're out there), the animals looked hesitant and even confused.

That video was part of this research found here:

There's another vid of a man tickling a baby orangutan.

Apparently researchers tickled 22 apes and a few humans to find an evolutionary balance between ape and human laughter...

Basically seeing if it had evolved in a connection from apes to humans...

This very link was provided in a thread here only a couple of days ago... can't remember the name or made the thread though...

The idea of tickling an animal for fetish reasons however to me, is one that is a bit out of the ordinary...

Or is it?

We humans are a type of "animal" are we not? 😀

We Homo sapiens, are sentient beings though. Our species was been granted the cognitive capability to determine what is right & wrong, pleasurable, and unpleasurable. With a few exceptions, we're all able to perceive the different nuances - to one degree or another - in social acts, be it physical, verbal, or non-verbal, etc. Every other species doesn't have this capability, and so isn't able to deem 'right' and 'wrong' to nearly the same degree as we humans do, if they're capable of doing that at all.

Good golly gosh people, is it wrong to do things (that turn you on) to creatures of a lesser intelligence? How about children? How about creatures of a higher intelligence? Aliens? What about supernatural creatures? How about demons? Angels? Is it okay to tickle God's feet? What about Jesus? Satan? I bet Satan would like it.

Three words is all this topic requires. "Yes, it's wrong."

Yes, the lee should have the option of backing out and clearly a lower form of life doesn't have that option.

Besides, I think that the original post was just for shock value and or humor.

Yeah but everyone weighs in like it's SERIOUS BUSINESS. Hey, such is the internet.. 😉

Because God forbid someone have a serious conversation on the internet.

Oh dear, now I've mentioned God.

Now I can blame you when I state that God doesn't exist and this causes an uproar. :scared

aH, BOOLY GOOGERS.

I tickle the crap out of my cats all the time!

I guess it's okay if it's in the name of science. lol

Many thanks for the link, fmilling! I had noticed a link(to the research) amongst the replies thread there at the site where the video was posted, but didn't even get around to reading it prior to posting up the video-link here.

Watching a video of man tickling ape? Fine. Pondering the 'man-tickles-ape' phenomenon as it relates to human evolution? Fine.

Wanking to said phenomenon? Less fine.

But, I like the 'kitten-tongue tickle' scenario, as well as furry tickling. so, call me a hypocrite I guess.

Do you all people not realize the hotness value of this vid?! Can you not see it?!

It's a guy... and he's tickling this gorilla... on the... paws... which is hot in a way our humans brains can't possibly figure.

And hey, if anyone does figure out the hotness value of this vid, please do let me know (because I couldn't 🙁 ).

I once watched a documentary on TV about the late zoologist Dian Fossey and her research with African mountain gorillas. Evidently, these creatures loved to be tickled!

I draw the line at interplanetary or intergalactic behavior: aliens smoke after sex.

Ditto. Things were going along swimmingly the time I decided to take the alien Greys up on their offer of alittle tickling. Then 'BAM!' before I know it, I'm strapped to a table and they're dragging out the anal probes... 👽

That and the fact that they stole my wallet. 😛issed

Heh... Next time Rick you should talk to the green Aliens....

As you can tell, they're a lot nicer... 😉 😉 😉

I think that once you're tickling in the name of science, all of that stuff goes out the window. There have been studies confirming that even rats like to be "tickled" (although i suppose the concept is up for interpretation). It just makes me feel like we're all (man and animal) much closer than we think!
