Is Anybody Else Looking Forward To The New "Indiana Jones"?

That... AND by HOW much it shatters movie gross records!!

I actually got into a mini-debate at Walgreens cuz the guy said "I just hope they make it believable." WHAT? Indy's greatest weapon was ALWAYS his mind. I mean you had to be in shape, to do the physical stuff, but it was never like he had to be Jason Bourne super lethal super agent dude. It's completely believable that a 60 year old Indy can do the things we see in the trailers.

that movie is going to be great. they showed the trilogy on USA channel last weekend and will show it on sci-fi this weekend. after they show all of them on saturday and sunday, they are having a special show at 9 on sunday to discuss the crystal skulls which are actual real objects. should be interesting, help understand the movie better as well.

Indiana Jones was my childhood idol. There is no way in hell I am gonna miss this.

Though I think the movie completely unnecessary after "The Last Crusade", I'll be there in the front row:woot:

Yes! As much as I’m looking forward to contracting Alzheimer’s …

Seeing Harrison Ford cracking a bull whip while holding on to a walker isn’t my idea of entertainment. I think I’ll wait for the CD. :zzzzz:

I'm not an Indiana Jone's fan at all..

But it looks like it's got mucho potential.

I'll wait for Netflix to get it. :triangle:

Man, I only hope I'm half as agile as Harrison Ford when I'm that age. I don't care how old he is, he's still amazing. I can't wait to see this movie.

That's what folks said about Stallone when Rocky Balboa and RAMBO came out. He did well for a 60 year old boxer and Vietnam PTSD Veteran.

Hell Yes it is a couple hours of entertainment.

And I have noticed that someone has a DVD packet For Sale of the first three movies.:xpulcy:

I have to see this movie!

Let's face it, Spielberg, Lucas, and Ford have all gloriously jumped the shark in the last decade.

Spielberg has been churning out a few weird stinkers (movies, not gas).

Lucas...Well, look at the horrible train wreck that was fan-dom Men-ass, Attack of the clowns, and Revenge of the Sith. Hell, the only reason why Sith did any good was because the script was heavily doctored. The whole goddam thing was concieved just to sell toys and toilet paper doilies.

And Ford? His little mid-life crisis thing followed by a pitiful attempt to do a hip buddy cop movie opposite that pizza-faced guy pretty much sums up his happy little mindset.

You got three flakes in collusion! We can't lose!!!

I sincerely hope this movie is as cheesey as I expect it to be.

I read some reviews on the movie. there 50/50, a lot of critics slam it and a lot thought it was great. personally I could care less about what the critics say, I know a lot of people would agree since movies like Spiderman 3 and the Star Wars prequels didn't get great reviews, yet they all made a lot of money. The trailers look great to me, when we see the shadow of him putting the Fedora on, I was sold right there, lol. I'll probably go this weekend, hope you all have a good time.

thought this would get people pumped up for the movie, enjoy

I just saw it today, great movie, you guys should go see it if you haven't already

And the verdict is.....

Terrible. In fact, Mizza and I walked out.

I loved the trilogy.

I thought the movie was boring, pretencious, and reeked of over the top special effects that made the movie look waaaaaaaaay too farfetched.

Loved the nuclear explosion though.

I'm a bit two minded with this one.

After seeing the film on Friday, I was hoping for something that would blow me away or at least make me talk about it for some time afterwards, unfortunately it didn't.

The acting was good, if a bit cheesy at times but thats Indy's character and he still comes across as charming. The story could've been better that was a bit of a let down. Also some parts of the film were rather corny especially a part at the end, I won't say what it was as it would ruin it for others that haven't seen it but wish to.

Overall it was a fun action packed film, I don't have any more else to say about it really.

I saw it with slap'n'ticklee on Friday and pretty much agree with her opinion on the film. It was fun at points, and the action was entertaining (although not really ground-breaking). But when it got to the end it seemed to me like the entire story was pretty much pointless. This soured the whole experience for me.

Still I'm too young to have seen the original films in the cinema all those years ago, and I have to admit it was a bit of a buzz hearing that music on the big screen for the first time.

Overall, though, I'm not sure I would recommend the film. It just wasn't anything spectacular.
