For the last hour I've been unable to access about 50% of the websites that I try to connect to, then suddenly some of them cleared up, then suddenly they disappeared again. And the whole time I havent been able to connect to AOL with my cable modem.

Ann had that problem a few days ago with her cable modem
Could be just the cable Co. Working on stuff.

Comcast has been having issues nationswide over the past several days.

AOL....I wont get started.

ya, aol is a clusterfuck on the best of days, but I can usually at least count on being able to connect

We've had the same thing on and off for the past week, Jeff. First, I thought it was something from the latest Windows update. (We all know how messed up they can make things at times.) But, it's been sporadic and mainly in the evenings. That's when comcast seems to do system work in our area. So, we're pretty sure that's what it is. I always check with friends in the area who use comcast. If they're having the same issues, which they are, we assume it to be system work.

Drew had trouble enough last night that he just gave up and signed off. I'd give comcast a call to see how long this will be going on. But, even when they know it's being caused by their work, they always want to send someone out to "check things out" so they can charge us for the call. The price we pay for fast internet access! :ranty:

PS - If it's the same deal at your end, I found that trying a site a half dozen times generally brought it up...IF you want to wait that long.

AOL was giving me trouble on Monday. I couldnt connect to the net, and I had to call my computer service repair contact. It turns out that there was a local network cable wire down or something, and the whole area was out. It came back after a time. AOL always gives me problems, although it's been better lately.
Good Luck with the move.

Mitch
