I know we cant control it, and it is God and nature's will, but are forum members in the Northeast and Mid Atlantic sick of this weather? All summer long, and especially lately, the forecast seems to be the same damn thing. High 80s to mid 90s. High humidity, and thunderstorms either almost every day, or every day. It is already nearly August, and I can count on one hand the number of fine sunny days we have had this summer. Today promises more of the same, nearly 90 with haze, oppressive humidity, and heavy to severe thunderstorms. The forecast isnt supposed to get any better, as it is forecasted to be between 90 and 96 degrees every day next week, with more humidity, blazing sun, and more storms! This has been the worst summer I can remember in my life! I hope we can get some 80 degree and sunny days in August, or an early fall, because it is enough with these storms, heat and humidity already!

I like this a lot better than cold and snow. No arguing with taste, though.

I like the cool, snowy weather better! just be grateful we are not totally baking like those in CA...if it is imaginable it is worse there! weather is crazy this year...

can the be a product of Global Warming?

We've had hot weather since the beginning of June this year, temps in the high 90s with very occasional thunderstorms. Everybody is sweating profusely, mostly because almost nobody has AC here. We wouldn't need it normally, for the few hot days per year. But this has been going on for too long, almost 2 months.

The tarmac on the streets becomes like pudding; on some highways, grooves over a ft deep have formed and made them unpassable.

As the climate gets hotter every year, Germany will have to adapt better: More AC, upgrades for streets and water supply.

I'm about to do a rain dance now, maby it helps... 😛

Yes, well, to those of you back east, at least you're not dealing with 110 degrees on a daily basis.

I cant wait for the cool crisp fall weather. steamy heat is for lizards and bugs.

yes, cool crisp autumn breezes sounded wonderful about now!

Gotta disagree with ya brother. I love the warm, hot and stormy weather.. I was on the beach last night with gf checking out a lightning storm off the coast and it was awesome to watch.. Maybe i'm just blessed to live on the coast.. Check one vote for Summer kicks donkey tail!

 Yes. Death toll out here now stands at 104. Wonder when it will end...
XOXO

This is one bug that can do without the steamy heat. It's going to be 100+ around here into next week, and the humidity has been brutal. But people around here are not dying like they are in california.

Yes, yes, yes! Go ahead and bitch, my dear friend Mitch, but let me tell ya what
KNOX
is going to do...

He's going to the beach. He's getting up damn early tomorrow morning, and he's gonna load his car with his gear, and he's driving down the shore. He's gonna beat all the traffic, and he's gonna be on the beach in the very early morning, when the breeze is usually the strongest, and the pounding surf rings in the ears loud enough to muffle all other sounds. He's gonna watch the sun rise, and reflect in the windows of all the restored Victorian houses in the mall behind the boardwalk, and he's gonna be at one with the odd jogger and dog walker he sees...

...he's gonna reflect on his life.

He's also gonna get home before the heat begins to discomfort; and before the throngs of tourists come in.

Early in the morning's the best time to go...

All I have to say is.....

COOL IT! For those bothered by this heat, some images to help you think cool. Or just pretend you're this guy!

And if everyone was jumping off a barn, would you do it too?

As a resident of Phoenix, I find it amusing that some people consider 104 degrees to be unbearably hot. 😉

Ive moved into a new place that has no AC, its gonna be hitting 99 degrees this week, all i have is my fan i have on my head....how sad is it that a car auto factory is cooler than the house here
