I think his post-season record may get him in, but he's career 216-146 with a 3.46 ERA. Mike Mussina was career 270-153 with a 3.68 ERA. Andy Petitte is 237-136 with a 3.87 ERA, and Pedro is 219-100 with a 2.93 ERA.

I believe Pedro should be 1st ballot because without injury he winds up with at least 250 wins, and the guy only has 100 losses and a career ERA under 3.00. However, IF (and to me it's a big if) Schilling gets in, then Pettitte and Mussina deserve to get in as well. I personally hope Clemens gets snubbed at least the first few tries because there is really no telling how many wins or how many cy-youngs he really earned without cheating.

Honestly, I dont think Schilling and Pettite will get in. Very few pitchers under 300 wins get in, and Schilling is way under. His career ERA of 3.46 is also mediocre.

Pedro could well get in eventually because of the four Cy Young Awards, and the over 3,000 K's.

Eventually, with the five man rotation, and the fact that less pitchers will play long enough to get to 300 wins, the criteria for Hall of Fame election might have to be lowered, and based on 200 plus wins, with career ERA and strikeouts holding more weight then before.

With 4 cy young awards and a career era under 3.00, I'd say pedro is 1st ballot.

Hmm... tough call.

Based solely on individual performance though, I don't think Schilling will make it unless they do lower the standards as Mitch suggests.

Pedro will get in though, without a doubt.

Without injuries Pedro is in the top 10 of all-time maybe. He should have 5 cy youngs but got screwed over that year that Zito won it, even though Pedro had better overall stats I believe. I loved Clemens until the truth came out, now I can't stand him and hope he never gets in because of it. I do hope the Moose gets in though. If he hung around for a couple more seasons he would've gotten to 300 wins.

Moose should get in.

The likes of Moose, Pedro or Randy dominated in their primes compared to someone like Schilling who was always quietly good and then didn't lose his A-game in his later years.

Honestly, I think Jamie Moyer is just as, if not more, likely to get in the Hall as Curt Schilling.

Moyer has no shot because it took him like 25 years just to get as many wins as he has now...lol. A sports announcer came out on live television and said Moyer don't have a shot unless he got 300 wins. I personally hate curt schilling with a passion because when he was in Boston he never kept his mouth shut. He'd call into local radio shows and speak his mind nonstop, and the guy blogs and blogs and blogs all the time about what's on his mind. He is an arrogant asshole and I pray he doesn't get in.
