Is Danica Patrick taking advantage of the fact that she's a woman racing with men?

I'll try to get my point across with out looking like a shovanistic pig, but this really bothers me.

During the Indianapolis 500, Danica Patrick and a guy named Ryan Briscoe tangled up on pit row, now fair enough she got upset because the guy knocked her out of the race, but the thing that's really getting at me is the fact that she goes down to confront the guy, knowing that he can't do anything about.

Now who's to say what would have happen if she got there because security cut her off, maybe she was going down to tell him that he should have been more careful coming out of his box or she was going to get in his face about it, and like I said it bothers me because she knows she can get in his face or do whatever she wants because she a women and if he (Briscoe or another driver) does something back, we'd want him forever banned from the sport of auto racing.

To me, I think Danica knows that she can do these things like get in a driver face and get away with because like I said if they do anything, the world's going to look at that guy the all time worst human being because like I said if he does anything back to her, he's the jerk.

Not too worry. You don't look like a shovanistic pig. In fact, you don't even look like a chauvinistic pig.

And they should "not to worry", instead of "not too worry".

But, getting back to the post, I think when Danica is on the track, in the garage or anywhere "race" related she becomes just another competitor. She didn't do anything that another male driver would not have done in the same circumstance. So therefore, she would get the same result as a male competitor.

I don't think anyone would judge it any differently.

That is why the guard jumped in, because he knew nothing could happen

Well everyone has the right to express their anger and frustration. I don't think the first thing that popped into her head when that happened was to go provoke the guy into doing something or to do anything herself.

But I think Danica is a real stand-up broad.

She gets scrutinized so much because she is the most popular driver on the Indy circuit. Her equivilent on the NASCAR scene would be Jr.

Just a thought

Would it be seen any different if Patrick went to confront one of the two other female drivers instead?

Credit to her, female..racing...yeah.

I'm still waiting though. It'll happen.. It's already starting.

If she can push through it..Kudos. I hope she does.

If her and Sarah Fisher got into it, I think everyone might would give it even more attention because that's not see all the time to where sadly if it was Tony Stewart and Kyle Busch getting in each other face because it's two women and not two men.

Which makes me ask this question, is there a double standard as far as this goes?
