I'd say it certainly can be considered that. Generally it's defined as someone who gets pleasure from experiencing pain or humiliation. Sometimes that's extrapolated to include a grayer concept of discomfort and to include physical, mental, and emotional pain or discomfort. Now, that's for those who experience pleasure from tickling where the tickling still feels uncomfortable at some level. If the tickling is pure pleasure, as it is for some, it probably falls outside that definition. I believe that masochists feel the same pain/discomfort that others do, but have an added sense of pleasure or reward from experiencing it.

I experience tickling as a very unbearable sensation that I happen to get a lot of reward from, and so identify as a masochist in that way.

An interesting question. I’m sure social scientists have precise definitions and language to identify personality types.

Certainly tickling can have various degrees of the D/s and BDSM.

I’ve played with lees who embraced and enjoyed being tickled. For me, the most satisfying has been with lees who are truly, insanely ticklish, but can get turned on being tickled.
