is showing off your bare stomach becoming a thing of the past?

what are your thoughts on this belly lovers!

Because you know how Fashions can be in one day and out the next (specially girls fashions big time). Several years ago showing off your whole stomach (belly button and all) was the in cool thing to do with girls of any age 🙂. But now it seems like the in and cool thing to do is to show off just a few inches of your bare stomach with no belly button or navel piercing showing at all.

This is going to suck for us tickling/belly lovers 🙁

Feel free to express and share your thoughts on this worry some subject.

Do you like this new trend that keeps building? or did you like it the way it was before several several years ago?

I too love tummies, but personally I never really took to showing the whole midriff in public. Maybe because it's such an intimate thing to me, and to be honest it's very unflattering on some of the people who were taking part in the trend lol. That being said, I think people should wear what they're comfortable in, and I'm sure that some girls (especially young ones) will always feel sexy showing off their abs. Even if the trend passes, plenty of women will continue to do it. Last I heard, flourescents were out in the 80's, but what did I see on the way to work today? A woman with hot pink balloon pants lol...if they survived, I think tummy baring has got to do better lol.

i don't think it's a thing of the past. Girls here show off thier stomachs, not too much of but they still do it. Right now it's too cold to show it off entirely, but with what they do be showing it's still driving me crazy...besides they don't need to show off thier stomach to tickle them, you can tickle them over thier stomach and sneakly move thier shirts up with your hands and tickle them or put ur hands under them and tickle them 😛

I hope not, I love to see bare bellies and tickle them whenever I can. It is becoming a rarity around here though.

Yeah i feel that it is to. where i live is in Oregon (near the big city portland area) and oregon's winters get down right cold and icy and cloudy weather out. and so the only real time that the girls show off there stomachs is when it's some sunny out or really really sunny out like 70's 80's degrees. so i even see it becoming more rarity even for the big time citys. but i'm hoping and crossing my fingers that it doesn't die out all together

Oh, the bikini tops and jeans thing.....very tacky! Bikinis are pool and beachwear, not real clothing. A cute top works best that shows a little skin and leaves a lot the the imagination. As you can tell by this thread, there are a lot of imaginations at work!

...bare midriffs have always been alluring. Always. For centuries! I don't see it going away any time soon. Think back to the thrill of excitment the first time you saw Barbara Eden's belly on "I Dream Of Genie" (back in the stone age of television when the censors wouldn't even let them show her belly button!), or "Gilligan's Island" when good ol' Mary Anne (drool!), and to a lesser extent, Ginger, would wear their shirts tied knotted all cute the way girls do, showing off those yummy tummies. Growl! Belly dancers... lessee now, how long have THEY been around? Like I said, we won't see the last of bare midriffs in our lifetimes. The belly is dead sexy and here to stay!

You bring up a good point Kis. Your right Big Girls should not be showing off there stomachs. If your around the 100 weight rang or more over the 100 pound weight ramge then that's fine or if you have a little bit of pudgyness baby fat to you on your belly that's ok i feel. There is nothing wrong with that in my mind. But if your over the 200 pound mark or heavyier then that then i feel that every Big Girls that in thoses ranges should NOT be wearing anything that shows off there bellys. I have nothing against Big Girls after all big girls need some loving to....

But i just feel it's just not really appropriate for there size and weight to be walking and posing around in clothes like that that were made and designed for smaller girls in mind in the first place to wear and fit into and show off.

And what about thoses V-Cut t-shirts with the v that's cut into the shirt down wards..... do you know what i'm talking about Kis?

I hope you're right Dan. It's a little discouraging to see all the stuff for foot fetishists (Sp), but little if any for midriff gazers. We have to hold on to these things in hope that they won't die out and leave us with just the feet.

Your right it is alittle bit discouraging to say the least. Because i feel in some ways it's much more safer to be able to look at girls feet (with out the risk of really getting caught by the other person etc...) but i would much rather take a more bigger risk and take my chances looking at girls stomachs when thier showing them off any old day..... i just would.

It's interesting to see what might happen as a result of this. Sadly, I too have noticed that the belly-baring trend is going fading out. However, if bellies (and especially belly buttons) aren't going to be flaunted (or even shown), then there's no longer a need for navel piercings! That's a very good sign, I think.

Also, now that the belly (button, too) isn't getting shown as much, it's going to be more of a mystery to wonder what a girl's belly button looks like. And even though I could NEVER get enough of them, if they're out of view and are only occasionally shown, I think that increases the taboo factor, if that makes sense?

But it also means seeing less belly buttons, which is bad too.
