Is the most ticklish place in the sole of bare feet an arch?

You cannot generalize stuff like that. There are places on my feet which are more ticklish than the arches, and feathers don't do anything to me at all, no matter where.
 
Arch is the place that generally doesn't touch the ground, thus it isn't subject to wear and tear like the other parts of the foot.

I don't stomp around barefoot. And most people tend to wear shoes these days, so omg, someone could be more ticklish on their heels!

Rhianon nailed the real life response. But as far as the arts go, the "feather" and the "foot" are merely a useful cliche to convey the concept: "there is tickling going on here" for both viewer and artist. As for the real life merits of feathers and arches, there are oodles of threads here that argue that until the cows come home blue in the face... to say nothing of Sandy's dead horse.
 
For me and most people I've tickled the ball of the foot and up under the toes is the most sensitive part. But that could just be my experience and the people I've happened to run across. Like some of you have said it varies from person to person.
 
It is really different from person to person but from personal experience as a tickler I feel the toes are the worst for most women, especially since they arent so used to being tickled there. When I use a brush on one of my models toes not their soles or heels they go nuts >.<.

Obviously this person's first language is not English and he's trying so let's back off him a little bit. I think he's just asking if the arch is the most ticklish part of the foot. And if it is why do the toes wiggle so much when the arch is tickled considering they're not part of the arch.
 
I've never got why people are so desperate to determine things like this. How many threads have there been about 'which race is most ticklish?', 'which hair colour', 'which body part', 'men or women'?

Now listen. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. And thank god too because the world would be so boring right? Variety is the spice man! I love that everyone is ticklish in different places!
 
I've known women who weren't ticklish on their feet at all. (The waist and ribs were another matter...)
