Is there a clip-joining program?

I've got tons of short clips, so I thought about a possibility to pack some of them together to one continuous, long clip. The problem: I have no idea how to do this, and my comp hasn't got a vid card.

Is there an easy-to-handle program which I can use to achieve this? Or some possibility to make them play in a random sequence of separate clips?

Please, all you computer-savvy wizards, help me!
