Is there an Easy way to download (copy) a youtube video / movie directly to your computer ?

in my case my Windows laptop (Thinkpad).

I've gone thru so many sites and scenarios, I'm frustrated. I even got Youtube Premium and still can't find a simple method.

Yeah, it would be freaking NICE if Youtube would not be such a colossal pain the ass and stop having such an unfriendly user interface.

I mean, you can't download, ads are always a pain, and for those of us who want to play soothing music/sounds to help us sleep, there's the annoying (and VEXING) "Continue watching?" pause screen that keeps coming on after 2 or 3 hours!

I'm starting to think Google is run by Satan the Devil!
