Is tickling sexual or non-sexual for you?

It's sexual to me, whether I'm tickling Meka or getting tickled by her.

It depends on who its with. If you're already attracted to someone then tickling will obviously become sexual because of all the touching etc.
If I'm not attracted to them in any way then tickling won't necessarily change that. It's still fun though!!! :devil2: 😀

Fair enough - but why did you tickle her? Couldn't you just have pushed her feet out of the way? Are you sure there wasn't a sexual thing going on deep down even if it wasn't particularly connected to her?

I can only speak for what was going on in my conscious mind. I will leave it to shrinks to claim they somehow know what was going on at some subconscuous level. I tickled her feet rather than pushing them out of the way because the table was too low to give a horizontal shove.

I take your point Milagros, and I'm certainly not accusing you of any inbred behaviour. I personally just wouldn't tickle anyone I wasn't attracted to and wouldn't enjoy being tickled by someone I wasn't attracted to (on some level - though I have been tickled and tickled friends who I definitely wouldn't have sex with, but there is still a level of attraction going on).

I think if you ask yourselves if you would really enjoy tickling someone of the same sex (or the opposite sex if you are gay) and find the answer is 'no' - then it's probably a sexual thing - no question.

Of course bi-sexual people just get to have a bunch of fun - the bastards.

The last point is interesting. No, I would not enjoy tickling or being tickled by a man. So by that litmus test, it is sexual to me at some level.

My two cents

Your posts about your cousin caught my attention. Thanks for sharing.

The issue of tickling being sexual or non-sexual is something I struggled with a great deal during my adolescence. My primary companion and closest friend at that time was Kate, a beautiful female cousin with feet that would make Sarah Michelle Gellar envious.

My love of tickling and women's feet have been a part of my sexuality seemingly since birth. While I never had any desire to pursue a romantic relationship with Kate, her feet were simply beautiful beyond words and she was truly a tickler's delight. This was a source of inner conflict for quite some time, and I often found myself pondering the question that's been posed in this thread.

I'm not sure that I ever completely answered the question for myself, but my situation had a happy ending nonetheless. I eventually decided to share my conflicted feelings with Kate, and she responded with warmth and acceptance (if she hadn't, I'm not sure what I would have done).

I posted about this ages ago -- it's one of my oldest posts at the TMF. It's also a a bit crude because my writing skills were somewhat rough at the time.

This has turned into an interesting discussion and I'm glad so many people have chimed in.

Never had an opportunity for ticklish to be really sexual, to be honest. It is hugely sexual for me, but more often than not, just done between friends with no prospect of sex anywhere near.

For me it's a little bit of both.

I consider tickling to be fun and playful. Sometimes it's harmless fun, but other times I find it strangely arousing.

As an example, I used to tickle my female cousins relentlessly. Never once did it evoke a sexual response from me. It was just fun to watch them laugh their heads off at the wiggling of my merciless fingers. 😛

In the same light though, when I used to tickle my ex, there was a very real sexual component to it. Or when I would tickle, or be tickled by my best friend, who is a female. We used to get into tickle fights sometimes and I can't deny that I became aroused as a result.

As I'm sure it's the same with most people, it all depends on the context of the situation.
