PS: Somehow, I think that this chart only covers industrial pollution and ignores the pollution emerging from traffic. Tht would be the only explanation why NYC got a B- .

Actually Low Flat Areas..

Like New York tend to not be air pollution traps. Normally you need to be in a valley, or some area surrounded by hills with an adequate air exchange.

But how much of that is actual pollution? I have driven big rig through Phoenix and always wondered if that is all pollution or a mix of pollution and dust from the desert

Jersey City, NJ got a C-? You have to be kidding me!! How generous!! I know everytime I drive to Newark Airport, I have to drive through that area on the NJ Turnpike (around Jersey City) that smells so bad it could make ones stomach turn
