I've done a new picture!

Heellooo. Its been a few months since I;ve last posted. I'm finally back.....at least for today, until I go back to my cave for a few months 😀

Heres the pic:

The girl in the picture is Prier from La Pucelle, which is a strategy game developed by Nippon Ichi for PS2. In the game, Prier is your typical loundmouthed redhead who joins a group of holy demon fighters called La Pucelle. The game isn't as good as Disgaea(also by N1), but the story is a little better IMO and the characters have alot of charm.

As for the pic, I tried putting alot of work into the coloring this time and I think I did an ok job. The background is obviously a photograph with some filters over it since I was feeling lazy, but I think it serves its purpose better than anything I could draw. Enjoy!

By the way, Prier was also a secret character in Disgaea, wasn't she? I believe you fight her at the end of the Alternate Neverworld, and then she joins your party.

Its very good to have you back. I was starting to think you were dead in a ditch somewhere. 😛

EDIT:

I'm particularly impressed by the coloring as well as the lineart itself. The colors are really rich and go well together. Good job on the feet, and her torn hosary adds to the effect that there was a struggle.

The background blends in really well with the foreground. The proportions and composition are really good too.

If theres one thing however its that her face doesn't seem to be expressing the level of torment she's experiencing, however much that may be. Its seems a bit like a mismatch in that her mouth, eyes, and eyebrows, together, make it seem as though she's not as ticklish or being tickled at the level that she really is. And since the theme of this picture seems to revolve heavily around torture, as opposed to friendly tickling, it may have worked a little better if more emotion was put into her expression.

Overall however, the picture is really good, dare I say your best thus far. Keep it up. 🙂

Thanks for all the replies everyone. And CE, thank you for being thorough as always. Helps me know what needs to be improved on. Expressions are definetly the most difficult part for me and nothing can make or break a picture more IMO. I suppose a more tormented look would have been better(if you look really closely she is alittle teary-eyed though 😉 ). I'll be sure to outdo myself next time around.

Speaking of which, since requests don't really work well for me as you may have noticed, I'll be doing a poll soon for which character I should draw next. I'll try my best to get the next one out soon so look forward to it!

I was alredy a fan of "La Pucelle: Tactics", and I'm glad someone alredy did one draw about it. Great choice.

Great coloring and the character looks so original, that you could say that you're the original artists itself from the game!!!
