My computer totaly died the other day. Out of no where the hard drive crashed, burned, and fell off a cliff. I have lost years of tickling material, videos, all kinds of stuff. Im so pissed off. I still may try to see if i can get anything, but my tech guys told me its totaly fucked. I mean, i have stuff i had been collecting on there since i was a freshman in college! That was back in 1996!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Well...there are some data recovery services, but they are VERY costly...and it would be strange asking them to recover your porn, but I'm sure it does happen. I personally save the ones i like the best onto a dvd and delete everything else every couple years, that way I keep from building up too much junk on my HD. Either way, man, that sucks. Hope you have a fast connection...
 
You have my condolences. Funny how digital gear just up and fails with no warning.

In 30 years of computer usage, I have learned never to trust a hard drive with anything of note.

I have had two machines' IDE controllers eat a valve, and take down everything on my hard drives. All I had left was whatever I had burned to removable discs (CD and DVD) or moved to an external hard drive.

Fortunately, the cost of DVD burners and external hard drives has gone WAY down.

Stay away from anything Maxtor. Their products are particularly bad news.
 
This is unfortunate, to say the least. This is exactly why I keep a back-up on everything.
If you ever do gain what you've lost back, I'd recommend that you invest in an external hard-drive. It may be costly at first, but in the long run you'd be saving yourself from this.
 
I've got to say...that sucks...but why make a thread about it? Wouldn't that make you more miserable for you to be constantly reminded of it and have others complain that we have personal problems too?

I mean honestly, this has no personal connection to anyone, save a few who have lost data. Move on, there are plenty of pictures to go around.
 
I found a demo version of some undelete program a few years ago, and it worked easily, and I bought it because of that. If you DON'T try saving things on that hard drive, the information may still be there, it just tells the OS that there are no files, but never actually erases the bits. Unfortunately I'm on my laptop, so I'm not sure which program it was, but there are plenty. It cost me nothing to use it for a trial, I just liked it enough to purchase it.
 
the hollywood brother has heard of a company called drive savers that may be able to help. the hollywood brother is guessing you will pay top notch price but you may get some of your tickling content back. also in the near hollywood brother future a zip drive, tape backup, external hard drive or a cd writing device might not be a bad idea for future tickling amterial
