since the steelers were out at the start of the playoffs i rooted for the jets because when my team is gone i will always root for the underdog, and wow are they coming through. Revis is just unbelivable the way he completly shuts down one side of the feild and shonn greene is showing the tough running and deceptive speed he showed at iowa. I like the jets they are built like the steelers used to be, smashmouth defense and a running game they can shove down your throat

I also like the confidence that rex ryan has brought to the team and the city. I really hope the jets knock that smug bastard peyton manning on his ass over and over and make him throw ints, he throws a tantrum like no other looking like a 3 year old on the sidelines and yelling at every teammate in site when things dont go his way and i love it

It would be nice to see the j e t s win the whole thing but i think its going to come down to can sanchez make a play when he needs to, you have protected him all season but he is going to need to make a few plays

GO JETS!

When your team is out your team is out. Never been a big fan of rooting for another team just because...

I for one loveee the Jets! I hope they make it, I really do.. It'd be a nice change and maybe, for once, people would stop telling me that they think the Jets suck.

Though I would like to see Peyton win another ring, if only to maintain one-upsmanship on his bro... I luvs the underdog! I'm happy whoever makes Superbowl from the AFC.

While I can respect this, I disagree. If you have a favorite team, then you are a fan of the sport itself. And that goes for any sport. To not care one way or the other, in my opinion, shows a lack of passion for the game itself. I too, am rooting for the Jets in the AFC as well as the Saints in the NFC. And I do it because I love the game of football.

I disagree with that as I love the NFL but don't really have a favourite team to root for, being Canadian. I've always cheered for the Steelers but not to a Steelers fan's degree so I cheer for the underdog or any particular story I want to see play out, not necessarily a particular team.

IS IT SO WRONG TO BE THIS WAY? 😛

Not at all. While you have a preference for a team, you're simply a fan of the game with no real vested interest in any one team. I was referring to someone who rabidly follows a certain team, then no longer cares about the game once their team is eliminated.

Watch on, Dogg of the North! The Steelers shall rise again!!

I usually root against a team that's left in the playoffs that I despise when Dallas is eliminated; NFC East teams, Patriots, Steelers, Green Bay.

I want to see Indianapolis win because I like Peyton Manning. Peyton has carried that team all season and he deserves it. Who knows if he'll have another opportunity.

I don't want to see the Jets win because they aren't very exciting. They should be in great shape for a while and I'm sure they'll win one eventually.

The Colts versus whoever represents the NFC should be a fun game.

I am a big fan of pro football . I just believe that the best team will win and like to watch good competitive games no matter what the outcome. Just because I ain`t rooting for one of the two teams playing doesn`t mean I have a lack of passion

It would be cool if they somehow manage to win the whole thing. They're essentially an extension of my Ravens anyway, with Rex Ryan, Bart Scott, Jim Leonhard and Marques Douglas. Let's see what they can do.

This years superbowl is going to be insane, lots of new teams we havent seen in awhile making their way up the ladder. Me personally Im a Vikings fans, and I hope to see Vikings and Jets in the Superbowl. One of Bretts old teams, vs Brett and his new team. but non the less, whoever makes it this year, its going to be one heck of a superbowl. Gotta love football! whoo hoo!!!!!!

G-O-N-E, GONE, GONE, GONE!

I'm surprised the Jets gave up 30-points. I was expecting a 20-10 win.

The Jets did very well this season. I think most people had them finishing 3rd in their division and they finished as the second-best team in their conference. I think this is the beginning of something great for those guys. They should definently be favored to win their division next season.

They had a good run. Rex Ryan should be proud of his team. With Indy definitely in, I'm hoping they end up facing New Orleans. I'm no fan of the Colts or of Favre, so I hope the Saints take it all.

Hats off to the JETS for a very good season....

they have the makings of a solid team...but here in Indy they just ' do what they do'...making adjustments during the game and doing their thing. Whoever the Colts play in the Superbowl, it'll be a good one!

Jets played well, but they didn't enforce there will/style/tempo in that second half and it cost them

Hats off to a great season and better luck next year.

Signed,

A Steelers fan

hats off to ther jets i expected the defense ryan would impliment to take a year or 2 to stick but it took right away. Sanchez didnt have a good season numbers wise but he made the plays when he needed too and the best compliment you can give to a qb is that he is a winner. They have revis emerging as the best corner in the league, david harris is coming on as a stud lb, and shonn greene showed a ton of promise, another year or 2 and we may be talking jets superbowl

kid did a hell of a job as a rook, give him the props he deserves, this team was expected to be 3rd in their division and not expected to see the playoffs and then they upset 2 division winners one of people thought of as the best team in the league. Im not a jets fan but they deserve their props for what they did this year

I think sanchez did a great job with what he had to work with.
