Reunited and it feels so good....

Well Laker fans...LA must be closer to a title than previously thought! The man who takes great teams and wins titles has signed a new three year deal to return to Los Angeles and work for the father of the woman he loves!

good...good...now, finally everyone will see that he really isn't that good of a coach. ANY coach would have won titles with the players hes had. Now that all hes got is kobe though...hehehe, this is gonna be sooo funny. Can't wait for next year. I doubt they will even make the playoffs.

I was going to post this, to you, but you beat me to it. As we know, Phil being back in LA doesnt guarantee anything. Aside from Kobe, the Lakers are a muddled mess of overbloated contracts. Phil himself set very low expectations for this year, and even the next two, stating he cant forsee a title in the three years. Jackson is a good coach, but he was made to look like a genius during his nine title runs due to men named Shaq, Kobe, Michael, and Scottie. Honestly, I forsee the Lakers to be, at best, like the 1994-95 Bulls, which was the year that Jordan came out of retirement for the last part of the season. At best, they might win 40 odd games and finish as a low end playoff seed, or maybe just outside the rung. They should be better than the 34-48 of last year, but I doubt Phil will be popping any champange any year soon. The West is a very strong conference loaded with top notch teams, and, while the Lakers should be better than last year with Phil at the helm, they wont be anywhere near championship caliber.

ah, Laker-haterism. got to love it. you all know good and damn well, with Phil back, the Lakers are going to be playoff contenders again. gosh darn it, before Rudy T resigned, the Lakers were the #6 team in the West. you dont think Phil can do better than that? with the same roster? that Laker team wasnt crappy, wasnt that great, but wasnt that crappy.

people seem to forget that when Michael Jordan left, all they had was Scottie Pippen. Kobe is NO Scottie Pippen. he is much better than that. the 1993-1994 Bulls had Scottie and no Jordan and a bunch of stiffs and still made the Eastern Conference finals. the Lakers are one good frontcourt player away from championship status. the hot rumor going around (even though it will NEVER happen) is Kevin Garnett coming to the Lakers. imagine that? championship material. but they wont get him, but my point is, if they get a good frontcourt player, you will be seeing primetime at a Laker parade in June celebrating another championship.

Not with the rise of phoenix, san antonio, detroit, dallas, and miami im afraid. All those teams are oh so deeper then LA. who knows though? only time will tell. KG going to LA, I'd like to see it, but it won't happen. I like LA waaaaay better than MIN

Gosh it is so hard for me to see these names and to not automatically assume it is about me! I forget that you guys don't know my whole name!
