With all the hype and animosity around season 10 of TUF, it was thought that Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson vs. Rashad Evans would be an epic battle at 205, scheduled for Jan. 2. That's out.

Jackson has hit complications with his commitment to the upcoming A-Team movie, setting him back from competition for another few months. On Jan 2, Evans will face Thiago Silva as the co-main event with Anderson Silva defending the Middleweight belt against Vitor Belfort.

Somewhat of a let-down, but still a solid card. Junior Dos Santos will also face Gabriel Gonzaga that night. Still would love to see resolution to Jackson/Evans though.

It'll happen, just have to wait for it

so what was the matchups at the card around Bella's party??

At Bella's, the main card is:

Randy Couture vs. Brandon Vera
Mike Swick vs. Dan Hardy
Michael Bisping vs. Denis Kang
(starts at 8pm on Spike)

The weekend after Bella's is this one:
Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin
Tito Ortiz vs. Forrestt Griffin 2
Jon Fitch vs. Ricardo Almeida

:woot:

rampage retired about a month ago when this fight was called off

no sugar v rampage

Couture retired once too. 🙂 I'm not saying Rampage/Evans will never happen, but it's not happening when it was supposed to, which is bunk.

As much as I wanted to see Rampage/Rashad,I like the Thiago fight as well.I think if Rampage was in shape he would handle Rashad for sure. The Thiago fight raises a lot more questions and that has it's own intrigue.Even as I write this,I don't know who I would pick in that bout.

true but from what ive heard he and dana arent even on speaking terms but hey if dana and ortiz can hash things out im sure rampage and he can

For sure. One of the reasons why I like MMA over almost every other sport is that anything can happen. The biggest underdog in the UFC's history won the fight. Ortiz/White stopped feuding. Evans/Jackson might still happen. 🙂

Off topic but Hendo possibly to sign with Strikeforce.

That puts the axe to a lot of potentially great match ups in the UFC but at the same time I would love to see him fight Mousasi.Henderson's addition to the Strikeforce roster would be big for their promotion and may persuade more to follow.

Watch what happens now. Some how kimbo slice is gunna end up fighting sugar shad.

Can you imagine?

There is a rumor that Kimbo might be fighting Houston Alexander at some point in the future but I don't know how true it is.I'd like to see it and I'd laugh if Houston tried to shoot.

Rampage vs. Rashad might actually make me (who has never order a UFC PPV in his life) order one, I just hope it dosent turn out to be one of those hyped beyond reason, over in a minute and a half deals.
