I just returned from a 9-day business trip to Japan. Best trip ever!
I have to say, that I'm not certain these are all the rage at present since it's pretty cold there now, most of the folks are wearing heavy coats, long(er) skirts, scarves, etc. (They dress much more warmly than we would, and more warmly than depicted in those photos--especially outdoors. My colleague and I wore short sleeves several days and got plenty of stares! lol) We never saw any of these (in Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, etc.) ...and, believe you me, I was looking!
😉 I'll ask my friend if he ever saw any there. (He was in Japan back in April as well, speaks Japanese and is a major afficionado of the people, country, culture and history.)
Fellas. The women are HOT. I couldn't believe the fraction of stunningly attractive women I saw. (I live in California now....and I'm contemplating a move. LOL) I suppose you have to like the type though. And the type is this:
1) Petite with a capitol "P." Seriously. The first size on the racks at "The GAP" store I went to was XXSmall (that's with 2 X's folks. LOL). Note that this is not said to offend or take anything away from any women reading this who are not. (Most of the women I date do not fall into this category, btw.)
2) ULTRA stlylish: Most of the women dress like fashion models as a matter of course. That's just going to and from work...or out shopping...or sightseeing...ar anything. Unbelieveable. I'm talking high-heels (boots usually at this time of year at least), long skirts, makeup, hair, nails, purses, color-coordination.....Gucci, Luis Vutton.

If you ever wanted to date someone that looks like they walked off the cover of a magazine....and still NOT have to drive a Lexus coupe and live in a mansion yourself... nuff said.
😛
3) Bonus: They're actually approachable. LOL They're often painfully shy if you don't speak Japanese (as I don't), but very friendly. I met a woman in a bar and struck up a great conversation. Her knowledge of English was only slightly better than my Japanese (i.e., virtually nonexistent) ....and it's pretty difficult to flirt via translation! ...believe me, I tried.
😉
Basically, I need to go back....and learn friggin' Japanese!
oh, I'll add that making this trip is a MUST for anime fans. I tracked down the original manga for several anime classics I recall seeing back in the 70's. Manga & anime is everywhere--and dirt cheap (ironically, compared to most things in Japan)!
