John Cena now over?

I never really 'bought' John Cena's character. I did think he had a few comical lines.. I do like the "You can't see me!" thing he has going and he does seem to be a talented 'rapper' if you like that sort of thing. But I never really bought his wrestling character. I always looked at him as something to get by on until the real wrestlers returned (HHH, Rock, Kurt - or any other main eventer that was injured at the time). BUT after last night's main event when Cena faced Taker, that match was awesome. I do believe he has finally gotten over with the fans after that match and now (at least with me) he can be taken seriously in the same level as the other main eventers. Cena did an awesome job but thank Taker too.

😀 I like Cena's character. I believe his style of wrestling is a mixture of technical, brawling and street. In Cena's first match on Smackdown he displayed alot of technical ability. I think the writers had really done a good job of developing his character. 😀

I didn't like the rapper character at first. But, it grew on me. I think it's the fact that he is one of the better guys they have in selling the moves and being willing to take the hits. (I hate it when guys won't let anyone connect at all.) That and the fact that he can be so damned funny wins my attention. He's developed both in the character and in his ring skills enough to make him very likeable and respectable. He's actually now one of my favorite guys on Smackdown (or Raw for that matter).

I agree that his match last night with Taker was excellent. It was one of the few matches I enjoyed last night. My only complaint is that I'd like to see Taker go back to the badass character. I don't care for the deadman thing since he rarely gets to talk and is always doing those stupid faces.

i love him, he makes me laugh myself to tears every time hes so damn funny lol. his finishingmove is pretty weak in my opinion but then again what do i know about wrestling lol

hate the character, but respect the athelete.

after seeing him in iraq for the christmas show, the guy went up 5 points in my book... maybe more!

but the "character john cena" sucks big time. i hate that part with an un-nerving purple passion. i ususally turn the channel when he came on. now to hear the wwe big shots had him beat the undertaker?
puleese! i thank the gods i missed that show.

actually, John Cema is quite entertaining. he is one of the few guys i actually like to watch on Smackdown. he has charisma and his style in the ring is entertaining. i can see him getting really big. in fact, if they ever decide to do it, but the next greatest rivalry in WWE could be Randy Orton vs John Cena. these two young guys would put on a great show.
