Just bought a clip...that was 3 gb!

Is this a new thing? I'm all for HD quality....but 3 gb?! lol

I bought the clip....didn't bother to look at the file size. But even if I had....it was the only version for sale (there wasn't a smaller size available). It took over an hour and a half to download....and the download "failed" a bunch of times (but luckily picked up where it left off when I retried)!

What's funny is....after all that....I haven't even watched it yet. The preview was sure good, though!

Anyways I buy clips with some frequency....but not THAT much (can't afford it). Is this the new trend? 3 gb clips?!!!

I'm gonna need me a bigger boat!

I added a clip to my store the other day that was just under 5 GB 🙂 If it's 1080p or less then 3 GB is a bit on the large side unless it's a long clip. If it's 4K or higher though then it's not that unusual - especially if it has a high bitrate to preserve quality.

I'm looking at adding some 5K VR clips to my store and it's really hard to keep them under the file size limit for clips4sale!

Well, all I'll say is.....speaking only for myself, and as a person who DOES buy clips....I don't have the space for too many clips that size and I'd figure out a way to offer smaller versions. I have a dedicated hard drive just for clips, but it's not limitless. I'm going to convert this clip to a smaller file size and delete the original.

No problem. That's the big drawback with 4K really...it's basically double the size of 1080p, which means double the file size - and it's even worse for editing! Imagine the file sizes once 8K becomes standard!

It's definitely worth getting an extra hard drive or two for your clips. Much better that they're not all on the same drive when it decides to crap out one day!

For VR that is difficult and sometimes have to post in movies instead of clips

Most producers don’t understand they need to render in two sizes and file formats
I would suggest emailing the producer
Explaining the issue and ask if they could render a smaller size maybe in WMV so that you can enjoy what you paid for. Most producers won’t have a problem with it as they may not of even been aware of the issue

Oh I definitely have everything backed up. Two drives for music, two drives for kink, lol. And easy to dispose of once I croak! (I just have to get rid of the boxes of videotapes piled up next to me of mainstream stuff I taped or traded back in the day! I should just throw it now, lol. But Nicole Kidman, in her prime, getting her foot tickled by a Texas entertainment reporter.....Britney Spears getting a quick tickle by one of her back-up dancers.....etc etc....hard to part with, even though I haven't had a VCR in over a decade, lol)

I just won't buy clips that big, I need every incentive to whittle down my choices, and that'll be one of them. (Or if I do, I'll just convert them to a smaller file size.) With your company, for instance, you have so much great content I've yet to catch up on, I'll never have it all. 😉

As long as the Internet connections and storage space follow, it won't be much of a problem.

As I said in my OP, it took over an hour and a half to download, and currently my multi-TB hard drives are almost filled up. I'm not made of money and can't afford to buy a new EHD every six months, nor do I have the fastest internet connection.

However, I don't understand why the hell you would want to get rid of your stash. It's precious, you should enshrine it or something~

As I said in my OP, I don't want to drop dead and have my loved ones find a stack of boxes of tickle-fetish video tapes, especially when I have gotten rid of virtually all of my other possessions. I don't have a VCR or any of way of archiving them and, at this point in my life, it's not a priority.

That said.....they're all still here, sitting next to me, lol.

And as I said in my response, I totally get where you're coming from. I also experienced the "takes forever to download and needs to be relaunched a couple of times before it finally arrives" phenomenon. I used to have a pretty shitty connection, and until we moved to our own place, we even had to share it with other people. Thank God now we have a very fast and stable Internet, and since 2018 I even got a reliable way to get beyond the Great Firewall, yay!

The storage space is another annoying thing, when files get that big. Thank goodness, I prefer tickling art to tickling clips, so my porn stash is only 143GB; it fits very snugly on my new laptop

My building has free wi-fi, that's my internet conection. To be fair, the internet has been slow lately because everyone is home, using it, (and I live in a high-density area) but it took an hour and half to download 3.3. gb. That's not uncommon for me, however, on the occasion I download something that big.
