I was watching the ep of mythbusters with the sand neck tie myth and I felt this was another myth worth testing.

If your buried in sand up to your neck, with your feet exposed, will you be able to break free, or suffer hours of piratey torture?

The sad thing is, some kind of tickling experiment is SO CLOSE to something they'd actually do. Still, if they did, they'd do it to that other guy who always gets stuck with the tough messes... and that would be MUCH worse than them not doing it at all.

Sigh.
