I doubt that Clark Hunt is going anywhere,but i do agree they need to clean house up there.Its disgusting how that franchise has been run into the ground by King Carl and his lackeys.😡
This team was about like this when Carl Peterson came in and basically improved things dramatically at first. He brought in Marty Schottenheimer and made some excellent draft picks (Derrick Thomas one of them). The Chiefs were competitive again before they brought in a Joe Montana that was close to retirement, and Marcus Allen, who incidentally revived his career. 1993 was the high point of the franchise when the Chiefs reached the AFC Title Game only to be humiliated by the Bills, on their way to their fourth straight SB loss.
The Chiefs last post season win was at Houston in 1994. There were some more good dominant years, only to be soured by two humiliating losses at home to a beatable Colts team in 1996 (Lin Elliot wide right...twice) and the hated Denver Broncos (the game where Gannon was benched for Grbac coming off an injury...worst coaching move ever) in 1998. Then, in the next season, came the turning point for the worse...the Monday Night Meltdown.
Against the hated Broncos, Derrick Thomas' famous poise and strength gave in to the trash talk of motor mouth and first rate TE Shannon Sharpe, earning him several Personal Foul Penalties. That was the night the Chiefs started treading on the water of mediocrity. Even with Dick Vermeil.
Carl brought in retreads with high mileage for trades and made several bad draft picks. Last year is when the facade came crashing down, and the sheep who call themselves Chiefs fans who've been duped out of their money for an inferior product are now staying away from Camarohead.
This year the Chiefs are off to 0-3, as they just lost to Atlanta 38-14. Herm should be fired last year. Time to repeat 1989, Clark. Clean house.
