On the DVD/Bluray extras of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, one of the bonus features is commentary by the film stars Keira Knightley and Jack Davenport. There are only several scenes for which the commentary is done. The last one, however, is what some may be looking for.
The two make jokes about how Keira's character chooses Will Turner over James Norrington (Davenport's character). At some point, she mentions the feather in his hat and says something like: "That feather was rather difficult, it was constantly hitting my face, and tickling me... He was attacking me with his feather!"
It is a very small thing, but hey.
