In step with the TV themes, a sketch from a show I love this time. I hope you guys have been treating yourself to the best show of last season (Sopranos who?) so you know the situation here. Not trying to give away any major plot points or go into any lengthy explanations that would take too long to get into. But does anyone remember that hunter Lonnie, Kim, and that fallout shelter from this past season? This would be Lonnie having a little fun while Kim was in his company... portrayed in a so-so sketch. 😉

This is the last of the TV stuff right now. Even though Amnesiac's Seinfeld idea was VERY intriguing. I wish someone would do that one. Sue Ellen Mishkie would be perfect in that.

on the subject of 24, the first series was brilliant, and i was thouroughly hooked, however i only watched half of series 2. for some reason i got distracted by something else.. can't remember what it was, quite annoyed with self for missing it, but i'm contemplating getting the dvd boxed set perhaps to make up for it, was the 2nd series as good as the first in the end?

To answer those 24 questions:

meachr: Well, this past season, Kim was still the weakest link in the series, and only seems to still be around for youth appeal (and then there was the cougar... oy). So she may frustrate you in her subplot as it goes on. Hmmm, while I can't tell you the ending. I'm gonna say that it's not quite the impact that the ending of the first series had. There is a major player affected, but it's inconculsive as to the fate of this person right now, but it'll still blow you away. But yes, I would say if you can, in any way possible, try to finish the series ASAP. It's amazing how they kept things tense down to nearly the very last minute, and the stakes are MUCH higher than what's on the surface.

gen.zod: To be honest, I don't watch a lot of series TV consistently, but this drama has the most addicting qualities I've seen in an hour long drama. I definitely recommend seeing the prior series to get familiar with the characters and their interpersonal relationships to understand the gravity of the situations.

I'll warn you, if you try to get into it this season, it may be difficult, the show is preempted a lot because reruns of the show are not shown to keep consistent with the 24 hour format, and to stretch the season out to May. So you'll have to keep up on the TV listings for the weeks that it will air.

If you've ever been intrigued by high-drama action and espionage thrillers, or shows that involve sleuthing in any form, then watch. The aspect of the show that's the most fun, is going through all the immense twists and turns up until the final outcome. You'll be surprised at who may be any enemy or who may end up being a casualty. Anyone but the two leads are likely to be expendable, but the danger level is high for everyone.

To describe it. It's a little bit of Clancy, and a little bit of Metal Gear Solid (err, minus the super-powered freaks). Very enjoyable stuff.

Great picture! And I agree with you on "24". It was pretty much THE only thing worth watching on the crap that TV has become for the last two years. I've watched every episode of both seasons, and thought both were simply fantastic. I've bought both box-sets so I can bone up on them before Season Three starts.

I guess they've given Kim a job at CTU to keep her around for the tits-and-ass appeal. Oh well. Hey, if it gets her tied up half as many times as in the first season, that'll be worth something.
