I was having the same issue. What I believe you need to do is start the video and then unmute by upping the volume. That's what worked for me. Every time I unmuted it first and then started video, it would mute again.

The audio plays for me on facebook but not when I download it. I tried four different ways of downloading facebook video and none of them had an audio track for some reason. Super weird.
