Don't ask me why a straight male wouldponder such things....but anyway I was wondering to myself....why is kissing so great? Seriously and objectively...we are placing our tounges in each others mouth for the purpose of showing affection? Sorta wierd...when looked at objectively.
But subjectievly this show of affection is pretty awesome and never gets old. For a few seconds you're thinking about nothing else..but what is in front of you. Sometimes that kiss signals the end of the evening..in other more fun circumstances it signals the begining. And whats makes it even more interesting is the fact that one never knows when the next person you kiss...may be the last person you kiss. In that you might end up spending the rest of your life with them. Some people believe that a woman can tell if she could spend the rest of her life with a guy from the first kiss. Crazy huh?

I have to go with the old over-used explanation of any oral fascination, the nipple. Both people get to trigger those feelings on each other. Having things in your mouth feels good. What better win-win situation than to have two people's mouths inside each other?

I've often wondered if I would have thought of kissing on my own if I'd never seen or heard of it. If I'd grown up on an island where no one ever kissed, and I saw some beautiful girl sitting next to me smiling, would I just naturally think of kissing? I think I would.

I'm not trying to start anything, but what is gay or non-straight about a man thinking about kissing? 😛 I do it and I'm straight. 😛 I don't fantasize often, its usually about technique and playing it through in your mind. Unless you're a naturally gifted kisser or she is and you're merely following her lead, your kissing will be sloppy and overall non-sensual. That can ruin everything. Besides, if you know what you're doing, your wife/girlfriend will thank you and applaud your effort (either verbally on in some other way) 😉 😛

Anyways, your concerns raise several questions and thoughts. I imagine it would be hard for any one person to weigh in much on this when for them each experience with kissing may be slightly different, or different enough in other ways that it is not predictable or even explainable.

We're talking about near intangibles here, since a great deal of kissing isn't about whats physically transpiring, although it does weigh heavily on it. Eye contact before kissing can totally change the kiss and make it work and make it enjoyable in ways you can't imagine....or, it may make you so nervous that it doesn't work you.

Kissing is pretty capracious in and of itself, as sometimes you're not even 100% in control and you're just going with the flow of what you're feeling, emotionally and physically.

I think learning to master self-control and restraint is a huge aspect of kissing. Knowing when is too much or not enough.

Hopefully love will be enough to guide the lips and tongue, but if it's not sometimes, then you need to learn how to manage on your own. If you cannot, then you may just be a louse, and away goes the boner, the tingly feeling, or anything else you might be feeling. 😛

They are very sensitive areas, that's why. Look at a baby for example. They will touch everything to their lips and feet because they have more nerves. It carrys on through adulthood, so yea. I dunno, I'm no doctor. I'm just trying to come up with an answer...

The same question has come across my mind many times before, but usually goes away once the make-out session begins!
