Has anyone else here blown the better part of several days on this highly addicting game? I finally broke down and got a game console so I could clear out my computer, and KOTOR was the prime reason I settled on the XBox.
I can see why this game has won so many awards from so many varied sources. It's everything you like about RPG-style gaming set in the Star Wars universe. Those familiar with D&D type rules and combat can slip right into it, and it's not that hard for newcomers to RPGs.
I like the fact that you can change crystals in the lightsabers to change thier color. It comes in handy if all three members of your party are Jedi and the combat starts. Easier to keep track of who's who.
The extreme depth of this game is engrossing. I'm only on my third world (having tackled Taris, the trials on Dantooine to become a Jedi, and Kashyyyk) and I feel like I've watched three new Star Wars films. Sitting there (with a fairly decent high going) and having an ethics debate with a Holocron was truly enthralling. I've never seen anything so deep in a video game.
I was wondering if there were any other fans of this splendid game here.
