Kobe asks to be traded again.

Man, this crap will not go away....

Is it just me, or is this "source" within the Laker organization is trying to destroy the Lakers and get rid of Kobe Bryant. This is the second time a "source" within the organization has said Kobe has done something negative. i hope this source gets their heads chopped off because they are doing some serious damage.

Kobe Bryant wants to be a Laker. It is up to management to get busy and make some trades. I was watching some old highlights and dammit, Lakers fans miss those yellow car flags we had on your cars during playoff runs. We miss the playoff clashes where teams were trying to beat us. Everyone knows that Lakers in the Finals means big ratings. Those wimpy Suns are not ratings grabbers. You saw what just happened with the Spurs and Cavs. Believe me, the Lakers franchise will be back.

But i will tell you this. If Kobe continues to demand to be traded and if he is traded, i will no longer support him. Kobe has made his point. If he actually leaves now, i will consider him a traitor to the purple and gold. I am a Laker fan. Not any particular player fan. So if Kobe stops wearing purple and gold, then f*ck him.....

If he's so tired of the Lakers he could always go coach the Duke lacrosse team.

I hear ya , Prime, but to tell you the truth, I'm kinda conflicted about this....

I mean if Kobe's telling the truth, this is a pretty screwed up situation.....the fact of the matter is, the team now is pretty young and inexperienced....I mean, a near rookie Laker center (Bynum) was starting for some of the season due to injuries, and a true rookie point guard (Farmar) was a starter some of the time because Smush Parker played so horribly....Luke Walton, another starter, has only been in the league, what, 3 or 4 years?

Look at this roster, Prime...is this a "Laker" roster? Some of these guys wouldn't even ride the bench on other teams, but they are starting in a Laker uniform, the same uniform Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, Kareem, Magic, Cooper and Worthy wore?

The fact of the matter is, Tony Parker, the Spurs MVP point guard , and other stellar players have been available within the Laker supposed "rebuilding" period after Shaq....... (the Spurs wanted to trade Tony Parker for Jason Kidd, but things didn't pan out), but Laker management have been sitting on their asses in their offices for the last 3 years, when a little creative trading could have built a pretty good quality contending team around Kobe. A number of NBA star players have stated publically that they would love to play with Kobe (who knows what their private feelings are) and Kobe has spoken privately to these players and found that the Lakers made no moves on these players, and Laker management gave bullshit excuses on why these players were not pursued.....

So I don't know Prime.... the Lakers have demonstrated no desire to put a quality product on the court the last couple of years...during trade talks 3 years ago,Laker owner Jerry Buss told Kobe that Shaq was going to be traded whether Kobe had re signed with the Lakers, or left to go with the Knicks or Clippers ....and this is the shitty team that the Lakers put on the Court...the only player worth anything that they got from the Shaq trade was All Star Caron Butler, who the idiot Laker management traded away...... why do the Lakers deserve my loyalty if there is no attempt to field a competetive team? Or if there was "master plan" to re build long term, why not tell Kobe back then, so Kobe could have left to become a Clipper or Chicago Bull 2 years ago, and the Lakers could have gone with their "rebuilding experiment adventure" in an empty ass Staples Center arena? (Remember the "Elden Campbell/ Nick Van Exel" Laker days, when the fake ass movie star Laker fans (except for Jack Nicholson, the only TRUE movie star Laker fan) stayed away from that boring team before Shaq and Kobe?.....

If the Lakers don't care what they throw out there on the basketball court, why should we care? :illogical

On ESPN they said there is some kinda tape of Kobe going off about the Lakers. I don't know if it's audio or visual or whats on the tape. All I remember them saying is he said something about Bynum and the Lakers not trading for Jason Kidd. Hopefully it'll be online sometime soon. When he first asked to be traded a few weeks ago, I didn't think it would happen. Now, with all that has happened this week, he'll be gone eventually. Either this season or next.

Yeah, I was listening to a local sports radio station when 2 drunk clowns called the station and said they had a cell phone video of Kobe saying something like " fuck Bynum, its time to win right now.....and buy a Bulls Jersey, because that's where I'm going".....

Whether that's what Kobe said or not, I don't know, but I would not be suprised if he said it.....

The only thing I don't understand about Kobe's trade demand is that anywhere Kobe goes, that new team will be gutted by the trade to get him, so he will be in basically in the same talentless shit pool anywhere he goes....its the same situation he would be in had he stayed a laker.....the only way the new team would benefit is because Kobe is the biggest t v ratings draw in the NBA....but part of that aura was being with the Lakers....

But I hear that if the Lakers are going to move Kobe, it has to be within the next few weeks, to get maximum trade value.....and if they wait for Kobe to become a free agent, they get nothing in return for him.....so the Lakers are in a bind right now.....

You know, this whole situation is really starting to annoy me. I'm split, but it comes down to one philosophy. Let's see what happens.

Yes, Laker management has pissed me off by not trying to build a contender. Believe me, i was one of the main guys cussing and screaming when we traded away Caron Butler. He is THE "Scottie Pippen" we needed for Kobe. But they kept Odom. Odom is a ROLE player. He is not a superstar. He plays hard and he wants to win, but he doesnt have the mentality to be the "Robin" next to "Batman". We could have gotten Jason Kidd. We could have gotten Carlos Boozer. We could have gotten Baron Davis. But for some stupid reason, we are stuck on Andrew Bynum. Yes, he has potential but damn, we need to win now. If Kobe wasnt a Laker right now then keep Bynum, but damn, he is really the only real tradeable piece we have.

Jerry Buss needs to tell his son to stop having a hard on for Bynum and trade him. If he turns out to be a superstar, then we will gripe then. But c'mon, we need to do something. Kobe is right. The Laker front office is a mess. I agree with Kobe there. I want to win now. I dont want to wait.

BUT, i am getting pissed at Kobe as well. Shut the hell up already. Kobe has already done enough damage to last a lifetime already with his "trade me, trade me not" statements. If he continues to want to be traded and doesnt even wait to see what happens at the end of the summer and see if management does anything, then get rid of him. Yeah, it hurts to say it, but if Kobe isnt going to be loyal to the Lakers, then to hell with him. He will then be turning his back on all the fans who love him here in LA and want to see him play here. Everyone on this freakin forum knows i have supported Kobe (hell, i have him in my signature), but man, he needs to shut the f*ck up now and wait and see. He leaves LA, i will never forgive him.

As for trade value, man, if we do trade Kobe, we better get something in return that's DAMN GOOD. We cant do that same bullshit we did in 2004 when we traded Shaq for peanuts.

Why does this nightmare have to be in LA? What's wrong with some other city for a change?
