Big Update On Kurt Angle's Reported WWE Return
12/11/2008 by Nick Paglino

Jason Powell of Prowrestling.net is reporting that Kurt Angle has been telling people close to him that he is very seriously contemplating a return to WWE. He is reportedly frustrated with the creative direction that both he and TNA are following, and appears to have little faith in Jeff Jarrett's lead. Angle's current contract is set to expire next fall, and at this point he would ditch his job with TNA and return to WWE if he could. Angle has spoken out about his concerns, most notably in the interview he did in the UK which sparked the TV feud between him and Jeff Jarrett.

Should Angle decide that he ultimately wants to return to WWE, it appears they would welcome him back despite anything negative he has said about working there in the past. Vince McMahon has a long standing forgive and forget policy when it's good for business, and in the case of Kurt Angle there would be no hesitation on WWE's part to bring him back into the company. He would most likely work a reduced schedule akin to The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, which would alleviate the issues he had with WWE prior to his TNA debut.

Big mistake! He's damaged goods...i hit to the head away from drooling on himself for the rest of his life.....as for the WWE , a damaged wrestler in the twilight of his carrer will not solve the problems of that pathetic excuse of sports entertainment

Theres no such thing as a non damaged pro wrestler . If Kurt comes back he will be on a limited schedual so i think that extra rest will allow him to compete at the level he was when he was on full time , it works for Taker and HBK

Sorry man gotta disagree with you.It doesn't work for taker and HBK.While yes they both are still draws in the WWE, they are so because of what they accomplished IN THERE HEYDAY.Both those guys don't work with nearly the intensity they used to and quite frankly they both are boring as hell to watch , takers schtick ran cold LONG AGO....I for 1 question the both of them as to why they still are around other than they still put asses in the seats (sort of). Both of them should have bowed out long ago....and Angle should lead the way.

Yes there is a reason that they dont both compete at the same intense level its because they are older than they were . Both are in there early 40s yet are in better shape than pretty much 99% of 40 year olds hell they are in better shape than most 30 and 20 year olds . They both put asses in the seats due to the fact that they go out there every night and give one hell of a show . To say that the only reason they put butts in the seats is due to past glory is bull . HBK came back from what many thought was a career ending back injury to win the first ever Elimination Chamber match as well as win the world title , not to mention that he was only gonna come back for 1 match but felt so good that he decided to stay .

The reason that The Undertaker still has the deadman character is simple ... it works plain and simple , if it isnt broke why bother fixing it .

So people leave the WWE and run to TNA. That didn't work like everyone thought it would...TNA is pretty much where its always been ratings wise.
Now, eveyone jumps ship from TNA back to the WWE?
I'm getting whiplash watching the defections.

Wrestlers today don`t have the choices of where to wrestle that they once did.
There are 3 choices if you want to wrestle in a major promotion.

WWE, TNA, or in Japan

tna is a sinking ship and their wrestlers know it.. btw no way angle returns to wwe especially not after the way he left and he would be 39 by the time his contract expired..

Why wouldn`t he return to the WWE ? do you know over the years how many wrestlers ''have burned their bridges '' or been released by the company only to return at a later date.

its not so much tht he burned his bridge its that on top of his age and the fact that he wont want to work a full schedule and is going to demand a top role and a lot of money i just dont see it happening

If he won`t work a full schedule because of the neck problems or other reasons, then I agree with you 100 %

His age won`t be a factor; many of the WWE`S ''bell-cows'' are that age or older. Batista just turned 40, HHH, HBK,Undertaker are all in the early 40`s. Jericho is 38 anf even Adam Copeland is 35. Copeland someprised me, he has wrestled a long time already

agreed but im not sure they bring in someone of that age ..and angle is unstable they could sign him and then want to quit.. there is talks of them bringing back lashley and id rather see tht

Lashley is already done like Lesnar, and turned to a career in MMA

yes i saw his first fight.. got stoped very earlier the guy he was fighting got cut up pretty good .. and vince has been in contact about bringing him back and he seems up to it

If this happens, it really wouldn't surprise me. Angle has his issues, but is still one of the best workers in the business. I just hope he doesn't end up paralyzing himself.
