Does anyone with a labtop know how long it takes a laptop to recharge so you can get 2-5 hours of use on it? 🙂
 
I usually let mine charge over nite to make sure, but it doesnt need that long, in the manual it should tell you or a little icon that says when the battery is full, but check to see your life expactancy for the battery
 
It shouldn't be taking that long..

My laptop can recharge to full battery power in little more than an hour. I don't use battery power often, since lately I've been stationed in one place with it, and might as well use AC and work at full power all the time without draining the battery.

Although it is good practice to let use battery power at least twice a month, letting the build up power cells deplete, so they can be recharged. Having them always charged may shorten the lifespan of your battery, otherwise.

Does anyone with a labtop know if there is an outlet for a scanner somewhere on it?
 
I think you mean "laptop" not "labtop" Rajee 😉 Scanners plug into standard USB ports and there really ought to be a couple of them on the laptop, so you should be ok.

Why wait until after? They should be exposed, or have a panel that opens the compartment, where they are. Depending on the make and model, and how old it is, you should have three, or at least two. They should be located on the port or aft side of the computer.

I seem to have a troublesome cd holder for my cd drive. Either it is not wide enough or it is not made for cds, but dvds. 😕
 
How is it troublesome? That doesn't make sense. Maybe its a combo drive like most laptops have these days. It probably even has RW as well, for burning.
 
Opps, I read that wrong, I think. Are you talking about a cd holder, or the drive compartment of the computer? If you're talking about the drive, then what I say stands. ^^
 
It was the CD tray that was tricky to use with the cd. I figured it out.
 
I still don't see how, but ok. You probably just aren't used to it. Eeither that, or you have a funky computer. 😀

A tip (that you may already know about laptops)-

When removing a cd from the drive, press down and up on the lock mechanism in the center of the cd. Never pull at the cd from the edges. This might eventually pull the tray out of alignment or even break your disc, not to mention smudge or scratch it.


EDIT:

You should hear a small 'pop' sound when putting a cd in, and taking it out. When you're putting it in, this means its properly locked in, and when you're taking it out, its means it's released from the mechanism.

Pretty self-explainitory.

😀 I figured it out after relizing the cd tray door wouldn't close all the way while resting the cd in the area without pressing down on the button.

Is there a way to format a cd via the laptop?
 
Ouch...hopefully your discs weren't damaged when you did that.

As for formatting, yes, I'm sure you can. How you do it, I'm not sure right now. I don't think I've ever had to format one. I'm sure you can though.
 
😛 The disc and laptop are fine. I didn't try to close the tray once I saw it wasn't working.

Actually, I've thought about it. If the TMF was the WWE, and the artists here were the superstars, I'd be the Triple H of the bunch, without a doubt, and I'm sure no one would disagree with that. 🙄 LOL! Himself and I have alot in common, Triple H I mean. I think just about everyone can associate themselves with the persona of a WWE superstar. Triple H also has the 'look' that I like in a talent of his caliber. He's sharp, smart, and is always ahead of the game. Hell, he IS the damn game!
