Lady Gaga steals artist's song, then sues her on top of that!

Boy, if you didn't like Lady Gaga before this, this will throw gas on that fire!

What she talks about is a disturbing trend, of big corporations using more and more legal means and out right power to dominate/destroy the smaller
artists. This happens frequently in business, where big businesses will get corrupt legislators to enact laws that prevent the little guy from doing business,
but the big guys are allowed to - Louisiana JUST allowed home bakers to make brownies, candies, cream filled desserts,etc. to sell!!
You need an expensive license if you want to become a hair dresser, things like that.

I haven't seen the documents but it reads like the companies Gaga works for/records for is suing, not Gaga herself. Corporations behave badly all the time. It's just that we bitch about government all the time, and corporations only when they do something awful. Otherwise we loves the free enterprise and NOTHING, EVER should interfere with that, we say.

On the other hand, it really seems like Rebecca's biggest blow should be to DJ White Shadow and her ex- Brian, who got this whole ball rolling to begin with, and apparently without her consent. "DJ White Shadow believing they’re his songs now because he changed them."

Rebecca is being shafted for sure, but Gaga didn't know about her until the court case, apparently, so she *had* to go into defensive/explanatory mode since she was put into that position by Brian and the DJ. She legitimately though that DJ White Shadow was the "author" of the work since he seemed to be claiming that from the beginning.

The bigger company, though, they're pretty sleazy. And DJ's are just people adapts at rhythm and running a computer. Why they have any celebrity cache is unknown to me.

This is nothing new. A very well-known computer company had a trick it liked to play on competitors, during its heyday. It would steal one of the smaller company's inventions, and then turn around and sue the smaller company for patent infringement. It apparently put a lot of competitors out of business that way.
