In case you haven't heard the Los Angeles Lakers traded Vladimir Radmanovic to the Charlotte Bobcats for Adam Morrison and Shannon Brown.

Morrison was the third overall pick by the Bobcats in '06, he didn't have a good rookie campaign and tore his ACL last year. Brown, was the 26th overall pick in the 06 draft (Bobcats). So what do you guys think about that deal?

Had you asked me before the deal, I couldn't have told you what time any of them played on.

Morrison seems to be one of those real good college players whose game didn't translate into the pros. Same thing happened to JJ Redick.

Something tells me the Bobcats actually made out on this deal, but we'll wait and see.

To tell you thr truth, as a die hard Laker fan, this trade is "eh". Losing Vlad Rad is no big deal considering he was very streaky with us. Gaining Morrison and Brown could help, but they won't be integral parts. Basically, we gained a quick guard to help defend the quick point guards in the West (Parker, Paul, Deron Williams, etc..) and gained another shooter at less the cost.

Vladimir Radmonivic is an okay player, but I think he needs plays designed for him. In the triangle, it really isn't designed for someone like him. He will probably do better in Charlotte. But I bet he's pissed off that he doesn't have a shot at a ring now.

Speaking of the Lakers, I hope Boston realizes that they can't "punk" us anymore. If you push back on the Celtics, they become a good team, not a great team. Intimidation is key for them. Garnett got punked by Lamar Odom. hahahahahahahahahahahaha

jabas not sad....bye bye Vlad......

Was Morrison the one crying at the NCAA finals? I remember him being a pretty good college player, havent heard from him since.

I have no heartache over Vlad Rad gone, I always felt he was a talented underachiever who couldnt be counted on to do the one thing the lakers really asked of him, which was to knock down the open jumper and provide another scoring option for the team. His reduced playing time seemed to make him even more inneffective when he actually got on the court, so I think very few are sad to see him go.

the big benifit to Vlad Rad's laker exit is freeing up money for other options like hanging on to Lamar Odom. I'm finally seeing the true potential of this guy when he's motivated. And i'm starting to see the real talent of a coach like phil jackson. I think a number of talented coaches can win championships with Michaell Jordan, Pippen, kobe and shaq, but the hard thing is to get guys with the talent level of Lamar to play to their potential. Odom was a human highlight film against Lebron and the Cav's last night, he stole the show. At the start of the season, Phil Jackson took Odom out of the starting line up until he played better, there were some Odom trade rumors floating around, but Odom's making the most out of his new opportunity with Bynum out for a while. The mental part of the game is the hardest to develop in players, because many have the physical talent, and Phil seems to know how to push the right buttons with some players to get them to step up if the player has it in him. Odom is able to respond to the challenge, Vlad wasnt, and it will be interesting to see how Morrison develops if he stays with the lakers for a while.
