jabas not sad....bye bye Vlad......
Was Morrison the one crying at the NCAA finals? I remember him being a pretty good college player, havent heard from him since.
I have no heartache over Vlad Rad gone, I always felt he was a talented underachiever who couldnt be counted on to do the one thing the lakers really asked of him, which was to knock down the open jumper and provide another scoring option for the team. His reduced playing time seemed to make him even more inneffective when he actually got on the court, so I think very few are sad to see him go.
the big benifit to Vlad Rad's laker exit is freeing up money for other options like hanging on to Lamar Odom. I'm finally seeing the true potential of this guy when he's motivated. And i'm starting to see the real talent of a coach like phil jackson. I think a number of talented coaches can win championships with Michaell Jordan, Pippen, kobe and shaq, but the hard thing is to get guys with the talent level of Lamar to play to their potential. Odom was a human highlight film against Lebron and the Cav's last night, he stole the show. At the start of the season, Phil Jackson took Odom out of the starting line up until he played better, there were some Odom trade rumors floating around, but Odom's making the most out of his new opportunity with Bynum out for a while. The mental part of the game is the hardest to develop in players, because many have the physical talent, and Phil seems to know how to push the right buttons with some players to get them to step up if the player has it in him. Odom is able to respond to the challenge, Vlad wasnt, and it will be interesting to see how Morrison develops if he stays with the lakers for a while.
