Get your vcr's ready gang. Tonight, at 10:00 pm there will be a Law and Order episode that involves a murderer with a foot fetish!!! Can't wait to see this. Someone try to get a clip on the forum for us all. I don't have the technology. e-mail me back to say hello and receive a true tickling story.

Right at the beginning of the show, they find a dead woman in an alley (possibly a hooker?) and see some blood on her boot - "maybe she got a piece of the perp" one detective says. Then he unzips her boot and finds at least one of her feet is missing.

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel they always portray foot fetishism in a negative light? They have to make it so sick that the guy is severing feet because of his fetish? Does it irritate anyone else to be put in the "absolute f**king weirdo" category?

Yep...

It sucks....but it seems thats the way it is....

They made it seem if you have a foot fetish that you are weird or a freak! That is stupid!🙄

I agree, guys. I'm sick of having my fetish being portrayed as something sick and twisted. It's not like I'm licking an Etch-a-Sketch while pouring cream of mushroom soup over my head while singing along to Desi Arnez Jr.s greatest hits.

😛

You're not???? Oh then..never mind.........🙄

actually...

...it could have been worse. I thought the episode was pretty over-the-top in its negative portrayal of the murderer as a psycho mama's boy with a shoe fetish, especially when A) his lawyer made a crack about having to interview him in ugly flats so he would pay attention to her and not her feet, and B) went for a "he has brain damage" defense.

*spoiler warning*

turned out the guy suffered brain damage because his mom was beating him upside the head on a regular basis. sometimes as punishment for his fetish. the expert witness for the defense said he suffered from impulse control and other issues due to damage to his frontal lobe. if anything, I find a stronger message of tolerance and restraint than a "people with foot fetishes are freaks".

anyway, not exactly an "OMG VCR ALERT!!!!!"-worthy episode. there was one nice scene where Olivia tried to get a rise out of a suspect by making a big show out of wearing black hose and high heels into the interrogation room, but it fell flat when it turned out he wasn't the guy, but it's not like she had to go undercover as a foot model to bust an international tickling ring, or something.

maybe in a future episode... 😀

Oh, alright, I lied.........it was a Light Bright set and Scotch Broth!!

That's not foot fetishism, that's decapitation! Sick. :sowrong:

P.S. If the show had to be about a murderer with a foot fetish, why couldn't he have tickled his female victims to death on their feet? 😀

It is not just you. I was very angry that, once again, a foot fetishist was portrayed in a mainstream show as both mentally ill and dangerous. 😡 😡

Warning: rest of post has nothing to do with feet or tickling.

It reminded me of Tom Lehrer's song, "I Hold Your Hand in Mine." For those of you not young enough to remember Lehrer's work, which enjoyed some popularity from the 1950's to the 1970's, he was a mathematician from Harvard who also was a pianist, and wrote humorous parody songs, which he performed. Here are the lyrics to this song, as best I can recall:

I hold your hand in mine, dear,
I press it to my lips.
I take a healthy bite from
Your dainty fingertips.

My joy would be complete, dear,
If only you were here,
But still, I have your hand,
As a precious souvenir.

The night you died I cut it off,
I really don't know why.
For now each time I kiss it,
I get bloodstains on my tie.

I'm sorry that I killed you,
For our love was something fine.
Until they come to get me,
I shall hold your hand in mine.

Tom Lehrer's song is definitely sick, as was the L&O episode. But then, not being a hand fetishist, I didn't take it personally.

Added later via editing:

My memory was not too bad. The exact lyrics (as well as the lyrics to his other songs) can be found here:

My personal favorite is "National Brotherhood Week."

Alexander: As a math major, you might enjoy "There's a Delta for Every Epsilon."

"The Derivative Song" is nice, too. Thanks, mila. 😀

That wouldn't be Elizabeth Rohm's character by any chance?

I wouldn't know the name of the actress, Duanne. The character was Olivia Benson, the female detective of the main duo who solves the crimes on SVU.

oh, and Tom Lehrer was a genius. He's one of the three artists "Weird Al" Yankovic cites as a major influence, and he should be hailed as a god if only for that reason alone.

"You can raise welts,
Like nooobody else
As we dance to the Masochism Tango!"

What vanilla people of the mainstream mentality don't realize is that foot fetishism isn't that big of a deal.

In the great big world of fetishism, foot fetishism is actually pretty tame. Compare it to water sports, beastiality, infantilism, and rape fetishes, and it seems pretty normal.

Laying under a glass-top coffee table and watching a girl take a dump on it...that is somewhat freakish. (No offense to dookie tasters!)

Tickling a beautiful woman's foot or giving a foot massage...comparitively benign.

Better than merely benign in some cases--it can be a positive and pleasurable experience for both participants.😀
