Lees reaching out

It's been on my mind recently on how we make connections. Barring personals, I feel the next best way to connect are munches. If those are hard to come across, the next would be at events. Granted most would like to get to chatting before even having a session. Also I feel Lers or switches put out feelers the most. So personals/munches/events aside, how do lees(no matter the gender) reach out to show interest to letting a person know they want to become friends or to have a session? Do you check out their posts? Randomly send an dm? Send a friend request hoping they begin the conversation? Non of the above, all of the above?

Also, not just dealing with this site, it would go for Fetlife as well as a majority of social media.
