hey Red, my dislike for Lewis doesnt have anything to do with his citizenship. like i said in an earlier post, i wouldnt hate Frank Bruno.

i just dont like Lewis as a person and fighter. the man is the very definition of the word "overrated". if he was an American, i would hate him the same.

I always liked Bruno a lot more. He was a quarter of the fighter Lewis was sadly, but he had a bigger heart than an elephant. No-one could accuse him of being true world title material, but he had guts!

....what the hell do you do with a boxer who has Tyson (in his prime) totally at his mercy, but decides not to hit him again becuase "you cant go mad in there harry". What a twat! the whole country was screaming for him to give Tyson one more bloody good whack, and the title was his. What a complete moron.

Oh no doubt about it, Bruno never had the killer instinct a long-time champion needs. I was listening to that fight at 3 in the morning on a minging February, in a caravan. I think I was ten years old at the time. Harry Carpenter was going frantic and so were we. Watching it later on the TV (we didn't have Sky at the time) I was nearly in tears of frustration.

What I give Frank credit for is his guts, not his sense. After he won the world title, most others would have had at least two fights to fill his bank account. Not Frank! Stupid twat goes and calls out Mike Tyson and promptly gets his head weaved into the canvas. Sctoopid, but brave.
