Flock, believe me, my opinions ARE my opinions. No one thought of it for me. Based on my own observations and thoughts, I make my own arguments. I am using the national media as an extra source to counter people saying I am making excuses. So here I am, blasting away letting everyone know the Lakers are not playing hard. (If you follow them like I do, you can tell they don't always give 100% effort. Then, they even admit it themselves).

Since you never seem to believe a word I say, it is hilarious that the national media seems to agree with me. ALL Laker fans have been saying the Lakers don't give 100% effort. Then you have the national media saying the same thing. I am using them to REINFORCE my argument. Something you guys never seem to do. You say I am making "excuses". Oh really? Then why do the "talking heads" seem to have the same opinion?

I honestly hope the Mavs finish off the Lakers. Why? So I can continue to debate you silly people. I know there are a bunch of lurkers laughing at your arguments and wondering why do I even bother dealing with you guys? Because it is fun dealing with people with no real logic. Just a lot of hot air. The reason why I kind of hope the Mavs win, is so that we can continue our "debates". Because if the Lakers win the next 4, ALL OF YOU WILL DISAPPEAR forever. You disappeared when they won the last 2 titles.... I will never disappear. Win or lose....

Heres the difference between me & you...

If the Lakers win the next four games then I would come on here giving the Lakers props for an amazing comeback . You are already jumping off the Laker bandwagon by saying you hope they lose . A real fan would never do that .

You keep making the excuse by saying the Lakers aren' t playing hard . But earlier this year you said the Lakers were on cruise control during the regular season only to turn it on once the playoffs started . So which one is it ?

Its truly embarressing for a proud successful franchise if the players they have aren`t giving 100% effort

everybody in the front office and all the coaches should be fired if these guys assembled a team of players willing to give less than 100% in the playoffs

so the lurkers are laughing?? All I've seen so far is TF4F , Grizzly Adams and myself saying you are the one full of hot air

Actually, I have given the Mavs credit. They are playing with more heart, more determination, and are flat out beating the Lakers. However, do I consider the Mavericks the "better" team? In a sense, no. Now before everyone goes off on me on how the "better team wins playoff series!", remember I used the phrase "in a sense."

The Lakers on paper are a better team. Bynum is better than Chandler. Gasol is better than Dirk on DEFENSE (on offense, Dirk is a pure stud). Shawn Marion is better offensively than Artest, but definitely not defensively. Kobe Bryant is better than ANY Mavericks player (I dare you to disagree...). Kidd is a better PG than Fisher though. Phil Jackson is better than Rick Carlisle. Hell, Jerry Buss is a better owner than Mark Cuban (see # of championships...).

But that is on paper. Right now, the Mavericks are playing much much better than the Lakers. Anyone who knows anything about basketball can see that. BUT, can I honestly say the Lakers are giving 100% effort? Hell no. Pau Gasol still hasn't shown up for the 2011 playoffs. Kobe is way off the mark and still nursing injuries. Steve Blake is Steve Blake. Matt Barnes is surprisingly giving us nothing. Fisher is Fisher. Everyone knows a focused Laker team is nearly unbeatable.

The Mavs have a 3 game lead and they SHOULD finish off the Lakers. But, you know, it wouldn't surprise me if the Lakers did win 4 in a row.....

Bynum isn`t better than Chandler ; he's just a different kind of player . All you '' national media '' keep saying Chandler is the difference maker for the Mavs . And everybody knows Bynum can`t stay healthy at only 23 .

Gasol is better than Dirk on defense??? they both are adequate at best on the defensive ; Dirk is clearly the superior overall player

Shawn Marion is everybit as good as Artest on defense and he doesn't have to be a dirty cheapshot artist thug to do it .

Kidd is the better player than Fisher

Kobe is ofcourse superior to Stevenson . Kobe has the history but the truth is so far in this series Dirk has been the better superstar . ( I dare you to disagree )

Ofcourse Jackson is the better overall coach . But he has been outcoached in this series by Carlisle .

Dallas overall bench is far and away superior to the Lakers .

I made that remark to show you that I know people like you will disappear if the Lakers somehow make it past this series and especially if they win a championship. Stop lying to everyone when you say you will be giving the Lakers major props for an amazing comeback. STOP LYING. If that was the case, where was your props when they won the title last year? You didn't give them props. Go back. Do a history search in this forum. Can you please show me where you give "props" to the Lakers?

You have absolutely no idea on how to deal with me do you? It is like you are reaching for anything possible to try and prove me wrong. You really suck at it. I mean, REALLY suck at it. Referencing this thread again. Dallas SHOULD finish off the Lakers. But if they choke, all of you Laker haters go away..... Do I really want that to happen? As for the Lakers not playing hard. It is THE most frustrating thing for fans. Of course we want them to play hard every game. But this is the personality of the team. But can we argue with their success? 3 straight Finals appearances. 2 straight titles. Whatever gets the job done. If in fact they do lose, they deserve it with all their lackluster effort. But, it wouldn't surprise me if they do win 4 in a row. Out of all the teams in NBA history trying to come back from a 3-0 deficit, they are the one team that can do it.

Funny you mention Grizzly Adams and TF4F. Grizzly has yet to add anything other than cheer you on, and TF4F? He's still mad because I told him to kiss my ass 2 years ago. He labeled every single Dodger fan classless. That includes men, women and children. And you're using him as an ally? Yeah, people reading this knows you continue to make yourself look real silly...

Here's hoping the Lakers lose... Otherwise I will never see Flock and his "crew" ever again.. My whole fun would disappear....

Gasol IS better than Dirk defensively. Over the last 3 years, Gasol has had to deal with the Boston front court and Dwight Howard and did a good job. Does Dirk even play defense? The key to getting Dirk is to make him work both sides of the floor.

Now I know you're crazy. Shawn Marion is just as good as Ron Artest on defense. Really Flock? Really? How many Defensive Player of the Year awards has Mr. Marion gotten over his career?

Dude, there are no excuses. Dallas is playing much better than the Lakers, but keep in mind the Lakers coughed up 2 games in this series. Only game 2 can I say Dallas was far superior in. The other games, the Lakers choked away...

Dirk has lit up Pau ; Dirk is the guy thats been guarding Gasol .

I'm not sure howmany GMs want to worry about a 23 yr old player always being injured. You certainly can't build your team around him . I fear he will be the next Bill Walton ; and thats sad because he is talented

Right now there isn't a coach or GM in the league that would take Artest over Marion .

alot of what you are bringing up are past accomplishments . not what these players and coaches are doing in this series. And thats what matters now
