I responded to a pole that queried whether tickling was regarded as more enjoyable or tortuous, and I responded with more tortuous, because, almost anybody will attest to the fact that I'm one of the most ticklish physical specimens known to mankind!
With the above in mind, I thought it would be interesting to take that pole a little bit further: could the verdict of tortuous or enjoyable change, if someone could change the level of ticklishness?
I'd have to say I lean more towards tortuous, because, on a scale of 1 - 10, my level of ticklishness, is off the scale, at about 50 or higher. That was my reply to the pole response, and maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but I know it is a bit more than 10! Maybe I'd say tickling would be more enjoyable, if my level of ticklishness were, on the 1 - 10 scale, at a 5, or below.
So, what I'm looking for in this pole, is an answer of whether it is reasonable to consider a person's ticklishness level in assessing, if he/she is a "spoil sport", if they want the tickling stopped. Would someone with a relative low-level of ticklishness that looovvves to get tickled, regard it as a torture, if the ticklishness level went up drastically? Likewise, are there people who hate to get tickled, find it pleasurable, if their ticklishness level went down, and could that level be turned down to a point that would still be higher, and they'd now like being tickled at this level, whereas this level would still be too high for some? Feel free to ask any questions of clarification.
