Little lambs eat ivy!

Early this morning one of our ewes gave birth to three little lambs. I'm passing out cigars! 😀

Anyway I took a couple of pictures, but it's rather difficult to get good ones as I don't want to spook the mom.

Aren't they cool?!

I like the way you think, Tank! 😀 Actually, one of the Mom's sisters is named Baabara. Another female is "Eunice" The two males are "Ramsey" and "Woolliam."

I'm afraid one of the little lambs didn't survive. I went out there to check on them, and she was just lying on her side. I could tell right away something was wrong, and as soon as I touched her, I knew. I was pretty blown away by it, but my neighbor Anne tells me this kind of thing happens all the time especially within the first day or two of being born. She says it's basically survival of the fittest. We're going to bury her in the woods behind my house.

The good news is that the other two are doing great. They're eating well and have lots of energy. Here's a picture taken just a few minutes ago.

And they remind me of the baby goats a friend's older
goats yielded, one of them had the same marking.

There's almost nothing cuter than a new baby animal 😉
