Looking for a good capture card.

I'm looking for a capture card that will let me record stuff on my laptop. I was looking for something that was reasonable in price, but also good to work with. My laptop has windows vista so something that's compatible with that would be nice. I've looked all over than realized I'm a tech idiot. I wouldn't know a good capture card if it bit me.

So any help would be much appreciated.
